I wake up the next day with a brilliant smile on my face. Shawn was a total sweetheart. Not to mention his smile.
"Teagan, the Mendes's leave for the amusement park in an hour. Hurry up and get ready then walk over there."
My dad made sure his voice was heard over my loud thoughts.
"Ok." I call back at him.
In about 20 minutes, I'm presentable enough to be seen with the Shawn Mendes. My heart races fast as I grab my small purse, say goodbye to my dad, and head over to their house.
"Hello, dear," Mrs. Mendes greets me at the door. "Shawn, honey, Teagan is here!"
A few seconds pass before Shawn makes his way to the door to welcome me in with a short hug and a smile.
"I have to finish getting ready before we leave." He mentions. I hadn't noticed the boy was still in his pajamas. I guess it just wasn't important to me at the time.
"Ok. Anything I can help with before we leave?"
"No you're completely fine. Go ahead and hang out with Shawn until we're ready, hun." Mrs. Mendes was waaaaay too nice.
I follow Shawn to his room which is surprisingly neat and organized. His guitar is placed strategically in the corner next to his desk.
"I'm going to go change real quick and then we can hang out or something before we leave ok? You'll be ok here?"
I simply nod leaving him to give a small smile, grab his clothes, and leave the room.
I take in my surroundings. His bookshelf is filled with great books. I've read most of them myself. He had his CDs placed on the shelf next to his books. He had a 5 seconds of Summer cd and a bunch of other great artists like The Fray and The Script. This perfect boy read perfect books and listened to perfect music? What are the odds!
"Enjoying staring at my shelf are you?" Shawn's humor busts into the room.
"You read amazing books."
"Which ones your favorite?" His voice is curious.
"I don't mean to sound like a Starbucks crazed, unoriginal, white girl, but "The Fault in our Stars" has to be my favorite."
"I'd have to agree with you, Hazel Grace. Or in your case-"
"Don't you dare say it" I cut him off
"Teagan Faela." He laughs at my embarrassment while my face lit up like the fireworks on 4th of July.
"Now you've done it!" I get up jokingly and push him against the wall.
"Are you flirting with me, Teagan Faela?" That smirk.
"Ha-ha. Very funny." I take a step back away from him but he catches my wrist.
"Where do you think you're going?" He pulls me back to him closer than the first time.
"I'm almost positive we are moving too fast but it feels so real, Teagan." And with that statement he pulls me in for a kiss. His lips part to deepen the kiss and it makes it so much more real. Both our eyes are closed as we stand in this perfect moment.
When the kiss ends I'm the one to break the silence.
"I've known you for about 16 hours and so far you're the sweetest most kind hearted guy ever to even glance at me."
"Am I really? Well, Teagan, you can't rid yourself of me now. I'm too emotionally attached to you. I'm yours as of this moment on. You say the word and I'm yours."
"What's the word?" I press.
"Let's go with the word buffalo. You say buffalo and I'm yours."
