Chapter 1. Chuunin Exams

Shikamaru's Pov.

'Next Match. Shikamaru Nara vs Temari Sabaku' Genma clearly announced.

What a damn drag.. you have got to be kidding me. How terrific! I have to face that sand chick? Whose brothers that demon red haired guy? And the other brother, with the cat ears ? That's just not right. These sand ninjas are fierce.. How troublesome can this get? I should just give up, and forfeit the match. This is too much work I swear.

'COME ON SHIKAMARU, GET IN THERE' Naruto yelled as pushed me, causing me to lose my balance, and fall off the railed.

WHA- WHAT! AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!

Ugh..

Naruto.. you jerk. Ugh, just hearing the crowd booing at this match is far off is annoying. The crowd deosn't care about this match, all they only want Sasuke, Sasuke, Sasuke. Who cares? Maybe I shouldn't get them a match at all.

'What is it, your planning to giving up too?'  The sand chick stated.

Sighs. And to top it off, my opponent is a girl.

I met her teal eyes, by mine. She was different. She probably doesn't think highly of herself, unlike Ino or Sakura for thier damn Uchiha kid. I knew when Naruto push me off the rail, she was going to be difficult to beat. She beat tenten less than 10 minutes. She threw back every move Tenten gave her. This sand chick was one hell of an fighter. I didnt wanted to hurt her, this was too troublesome. But if I back down, everyone would think Im a chicken shit to fight women. Which Im not.

'Well, if you won't move then.. I will!'  She quickly sprinted towards the grounded ninja.

'H-Hey! I haven't started the match y-yet!* Genma announced.

Great. Well, it's decide. Im going to fight this chick. I pulled out 2 Kunai's. I'll give her everything I got.

Troublesome if you ask me.

TEMARI'S POV.

'I guess, it's your turn Temari.' Kankuro stated.

'Right.'

I unfolded my fan, and made my way down the arena.

'And you are?' Genma asked the young Kunoichi

'Temari Sabaku, Ninja from the Hidden Sand Village.'

'Good luck, Temari.' Genma clear his throat. 'Next Match! Shikamaru Nara versus Temari Sabaku*

Shikamaru Nara eh? I have to face that shadow boy? Just Look at him, he's so tiny. I bet he doesn't wanna fight me. He did took a hard landing cause of that Naruto kid. Hah, priceless, though he looks boring, always uninterested on topics. Ow.. the way he landed. Careful next time idiot.

'What is it? You planning to giving up too?' I smirked.

Why isn't he moving? Why is he just laying there looking dumbfounded? He look at me, and I made eye contact with him. Pineapple head. Yeah.. sounds like a good nickname.  There was just silence between us, I gripped my hand. He's suspose to be a ninja?  This is far too off, I can't lose time. I have to end this. 

'Well, if you won't move then I will!'

I began running towards him, he better move, if he deosn't he toast! I leaped into the air.

'Take this!'

I slammed my fan towards the ground where he was on. After the dust clear, some how I missed. I was expecting him to dodge the attack, to get him up on his toes aleast.

Uh? Where did he go?

I turned my head side to side, see if I can spotted him. But then again I felt his presence close.

'I don't really care if I don't become a Chunin or not, but maybe I shouldn't let myself get beaten by a female.'  The boy smirked as he puts his hands in his pocket. 'Well.. come on. Lets do it.'

Arghh..! Hyaa!

I blasted my wind towards him. That could have knock him out. Or probably dodge it. I doubt it.

Huh?

Where did he go now? He's quick. Even before running away.

Oh well. This though, could be an interesting match. I hope this one keeps me entertain than that snotty girl did. I'm looking forward to this match.

SHIKAMARU'S POV.

I hid behind the trees from the gust wind shes has, some how I gotta get an idea how I'm going to battle with this chick. Shes smart, and alot tougher than I am. Man, she's troublesome. I'm guessing she goes for long range attacks, with that massive Chakra she has, and that big iron fan that could probably blow me away if I go any futher close to her. Ugh.. So why do I always end up fighting girls? Becoming a ninja was just too troublesome. Sighs. I looked over the sky. So troublesome this has to be.

'Man I wished I was a cloud, just letting the breeze taking me anywhere.'

Sighs.

A few moments later, before I knew it..  A big gust of wind blew into my direction. I covered my face with my arms, and see ahead. Ugh..

Damn that girl! I have to think of something.

Another gust a wind came at me.

'Arghh!!'

'Huff, Huff, Huff. Wow that's some chakra she has..'

I put my hands together.

'SHADOW POSSESION JUTSU'

TEMARI'S POV.

Why is he doing over there? Just sitting there, having that idiotic look on his face..He's not even taking this seriously. If he thinks that he'll lure me into the wall, and having his Shadow jutsu on me like he fooled that Sand Ninja.. He's wrong. Just look at him, he has no motivation into doing nothing! Is he mocking me?!
