I'm so excited today, because today will be my first day working at Starbucks and I have always dreamed of working there.

Imagine the smell of coffee, the people in line waiting for them to order their "usual" order, the group of friends who do their school works, those middle aged men who almost break their necks and backs for being always in front of their laptops.

And of course the baristas who makes your day even better with one cup of coffee, and now I'll be one of them.

"Sandy! Faster we're going to be late!" My best friend Cass said while honking the horn of her car as I lock our front door, oh no we really are running late and it's our first day at work.

"I'm sorry, I had to prepare the twins breakfast. My mom slept in again." I explained to her "Really? You're mom must really be worn out at work, huh?" She said "Yeah, I think so. I'm really starting to get worried." I replied

"Don't worry I'm sure everything will be alright soon." And she pat my back "But anyway let's not be down for today because I'm so excited for us today I can't believe we're actually going to work at Starbucks!" I exclaimed because I really am excited we're working there to save up money for college.

"I know, I'm excited too!" She replied joyously as we arrived at the cafe, we rushed inside and went to the employees area to get ready. We put our things inside the locker, tied our hairs up and put on our apron.

"I'm ready for you Starbucks I can do do this! !" I said to myself and went in to the counter and there my shift started as well as Cass'

There were already a few customers inside the cafe even though it was still so early it was 8:00 in the morning and we just opened at 7:30.

As I was patiently and excitedly waiting for a customer to make their order this one guy caught my eye he was wearing this semi formal look, a button up gray collared shirt tucked in his black slacks, a watch that seemed so expensive, glasses, leather brown shoes and to complete the look he has a laptop, one hard bound book, a pen and what seemed like a journal.

But what really was weirder is that he has two coffees in his table that haven't been touched yet both I would say would be a Macchiato.

"Hey Therese, you know that guy?" I asked pointing discreetly to the guy I was curious about  "Yeah, he's a regular customer here. He comes in every morning on weekdays just exactly as we open. And late in the afternoon on weekends." She explained

"Oh really? Wow how come I never saw him before? I was a regular here too you know." I replied to her "Well being a customer and a barista is different Sandy." Mark butt in our conversation, Mark was our manager and he is very kind and friendly but when it's time for work he is very strict.

"Get back to work ladies, we don't have all day to just chit chat you know." And he walked away and me Therese tried our best to hold back ourselves from laughing because sometimes we just couldn't take Mark seriously.

"I guess we do have to get back to work." I said to Therese as the line queue is starting to get long because Cass was the only one on the cashier.

I mouthed "I'm sorry" to Cass and started taking orders.

"One macchiato grande please, please use almond milk and can you also add splenda thanks." One customer ordered "Okay so let me repeat your order ma'am, one macchiato grande, with almond milk and splenda. Do you have anything else to add ma'am?" "No that's it." "Okay, that will be 110 pesos ma'am" she then paid me.

But as I was taking this woman's order the guy earlier caught my eye as he was leaving and it seemed like he only drank one of the two coffee, and he left some kind of note or letter on the table with the other cup of coffee untouched.

"Cass, look at that table what a waste. That guy didn't drink the other cup of coffee he didn't even touch it." I said to her "Let's talk about that later on our break Sandy. " She said discreetly because there was a customer right in front of us "Yes sir may I take your order?" Cass said to the man who was staring at menu.

"I'll go clean up some tables." I told Cass and went on ahead to clean up some table, actually to clean up that guy's table.

"I hope you drink your coffee, I ordered our favorite." I read a note that was written on a piece of paper just underneath the cup of coffee , that's odd nobody was with that guy and nobody was here after him? Who is he referring to in this note? Hmmm

I went on and cleaned up his table and brought the cups behind "It's really such a waste to throw this away one cup full of coffee, macchiato at that." I said to myself while staring at the cup of coffee that guy had left "It's even my favorite." I said and then moments later I drank the coffee.

"Sandy, come here up front we need you to work on the cashier!" Mark exclaimed not far from me and I was startled and embarrassed by the thought of me drinking someone else's coffee so I panicked and hurriedly went to the store upfront.
