Chapters 1 and 2 - Preview:

"Bakugo-kun, right?" However, that brief look he'd given her was all the acknowledgement she received. He kept his eyes ahead of him but listened silently. Atsuhi smiled, albeit a little more shy than she'd been during her short conversation with Midoriya, and continued. "I wanted to thank you, too! Like, really, really thank you! For warning me, and then for saving me. I guess it's a little like I owe you my life now, hm?" That caught his attention, and he furrowed his brows, turning to the side and breaking eye contact.

"Just told you to move out of the way. Nothing more."

Atsuhi hummed quietly.

"Say what you will. In my mind I still owe you! This might just be a wild guess, but you look strong – I bet you'd make a great pro hero. So how about this – I'll make it up to you at UA? If that's where you're aiming for, that is?" Perhaps that had intrigued him just a bit.

It took a few seconds for the words to even register. Even then, her brain had yet to send a single signal to her body.

"What's wrong? You expected some sort of countdown? The exam has already begun – run!!"

In the blink of an eye, a wave of panicking students rushed towards the now open entrance.

Oh no. Oh no, no, no, no, no, no! Things are going wrong already!? That's bad, that's bad, that's very, very bad! You only have ten minutes, Atsuhi!! Come on – pull yourself together, you can do it!

You have to do it!

It had taken her ten minutes of nothing but anxiously staring at that single white envelope, placed neatly in the center of her desk, for Atsuhi to work up the courage to reach out with her shaky hands and break the seal open.

And oh, how glad she was she did that. Now, another ten minutes later, all those anxious thoughts had long stopped tormenting her.

I will be posting a new chapter of this story every Tuesday (I will tell you in advance if I have to post on a different day or won't be able to get anything up at all). I have a lot of chapters written already though, so unless something comes up in my life, updates will be regular.

I will be using the [Last Name] [First Name] structure i.e. Bakugo Katsuki, Midoriya Izuku, etc. This means that Atsuhi is my OC's first name and the one I will often refer to her by.

"Explosive Touch" will be separated into multiple books, each one covering the events of one season of the anime. This means that this book will be about Season 1. Also, I'm caught up with the manga, so I don't mind spoilers (however, other people looking through the comments might).

Oh, and by the way, not counting this Author's note, this story (which is also on Archive of Our Own and Quotev) will contain 13 chapters.
