Dear T.B.

Hey TB, it's been a while since we last talked.
2 months give or take...
I'm sorry, I've been so busy with school and family and moving house that I've totally lost track of writing my thoughts.
Instead, I lay in bed, overthinking.

Mind going crazy, twitching to write something but not knowing how to get it out.

I've been really focusing on my mental health, really listening to myself and taking into consideration every move I make.
And it's helped immensely.
I cannot even begin to express how much it's helped me. With really taking the time to listen to what I had to say, what I thought I'd never be able to express in words physically.

So here goes nothing, I'm probably going to regret writing this later but I'm feeling confident in myself right this moment.

For the past few years, I've been trying to find a label for myself.
And I often would be sat in class looking out the window and wondering to myself,
Charlotte, you like boys, that's clear as day.

But what about girls?

Why doesn't it completely repulse me at the thought of kissing girls.
Why do I actually kind of like the idea of that?

So, fast track nearly two years to right this moment.
Me lying in bed, confessing to my journal that I, Charlotte, like girls!!
That's crazy.
And I'm crazy happy.

The other week we drove past a cute boy and my mum said, ooo, Charlotte.
He's cute right?
Do you have a crush on any boy?

And I replied with; well mum, there's actually someone very special to me, we've been friends for a few months now, and I really like this person.

That's when I held up my soon-to-be girlfriends picture to show my mother.

She looked at me, back at the photo and I have never seen such genuine expressions on another humans face.
She was so proud and happy that I came out to her!!!

So, that's right T.B.
I have a girlfriend and I could not be happier.

That's all for now, I'm going to go back to calling her. Let's talk next week, I promise...
