Mutants (yoonseok) DISCONTINUED

chapter 16

   Hoseok walked through the halls of the school with a look of sadness on his face.

   "Oh my god did you hear about that kids dad that got shot."

   "Yeah I did it was Namjoon? I think."

"Oh my god he's in my Calculus class! I feel bad for him."

"He didn't come to school for the past week since it happened. Is he ever gonna...like come back?"

"Jessi how would I know?"

Hoseoks face turned into a scowl hearing the conversations around him. Of course they were all about Namjoon and his Dad. It happened a week ago and he was shot in public. They're trying to say it was just a robbery gone wrong, but Hoseoks gut feeling is telling him it's not. But it's not his business, so he won't get involved.

He'll just try to be there for Namjoon.

If he'd let me

Hoseok let out a frustrated sigh just thinking about it. Namjoon hasn't talked to any of them since it happened. They found out from the news and instantly called him, but were left with no answer. He was gonna need time, so they all decided to back off. But now Hoseoks thinking if that's really the best choice if it's already been a week. Namjoon can't deal with this alone. Yeah he has his mom, but she's dealing with her grief too.

Hoseok and everyone except Namjoon we're hanging out at a small restaurant. They all sat down the order being Hoseok, Jin, and Jimin on one side of the booth, Jungkook and Taehyung on the other.

After they ordered some drinks and chips to share they started to talk. "I just don't know what to do, like do we give him more time or do we make him talk to us. We all know he won't talk to us himself." Jimin said. "I just don't want it to end up like how it did when Yoongi hyung went missing." Jungkook said sadly.

"He didn't talk to anyone for 2 months! We cant let him do that again. That's not a healthy way to deal with the situation." Taehyung added. "Should we all go or just one of us?" Hoseok asked. "Wait Jin hyung how did you get Namjoon hyung to leave his house?" Jungkook asked.

   Jin looked shocked at first but then thought of an answer. "I told him that we all were fucked up over Yoongi going missing. And that I understood his pain but it wasn't good for him to keep it bottled up and to stop talking to everyone. That we needed him and we all needed each other to get through this. I guess at some point he realized he couldn't just hide away from the situation."

"Should you go again then?" Taehyung suggested. Jin shook his head. "I think we should all go. If he wants us to leave then we will, it's still pretty recent since what happened. But he needs us whether he likes it or not."

"Well then let's go right now!" Jimin quickly stood up and waited for the others to follow. "Wait what right now? I don't know if i'm ready to do all this yet." Jungkook said surprised. Jimin huffed and leaned towards him. "There's no point in putting it off. Let's talk to Namjoon hyung already because I miss him." he said with a pout. "Okay fine let's go." Hoseok took one last big gulp of his soda and then they all started to go to Namjoon's.

   Jin knocked on the door and waited for someone to open it. Mrs. Kim slowly opened the door and she looked horrible. Her skin was pale and her eyes were puffy, the bags under her eyes were very noticeable. They all couldn't help but feel sorry for her. "Oh hi guys what are you doing here?" She asked surprised with a weak smile. "We wanted to check on Namjoon? If that's okay." Hoseok said from behind Jin.

   "Oh of course you can!" she said happily letting them inside. "He's been in his dads office all week. He only comes out to eat and go to the bathroom. I'm pretty worried about him, maybe you guys could convince him to come out?"

   "We'll try Mrs.Kim." they said with a smile and headed upstairs. They knocked on the office and heard no answer. They chose to go inside anyways. They saw Namjoon sitting in front of the computer reading a note. "Hi Namjoon hyung." Jungkook said breaking the silence. Namjoon dropped the paper in shock and turned around in the chair. They all have a small smile. "Oh hi." Namjoon said turning back around. They all frowned except Jin, already expecting the lack of emotion.

"What are you doing Namjoon?" Jin asked walking over to him. "Trying to find out who killed my dad." Jin eyes went wide as did the rest. "You shouldn't be doing this Joon, let the police take care of it."

Namjoon let out a little laugh. "The police won't do anything they basically caused this to happen. I know it wasn't a robbery, they found out my dad was looking into Yoongi's case. He even expected his murder to happen." Namjoon went to turn on the computer and went to a file that needed a password. He put it in and he gestured for all of them to come over.

They slowly walk over and watch the computer. Mr.Kim comes on. "If you're watching this video, it means i'm dead. I got a threatening note at work, and they won't stop. I think somebody is gonna kill me, because I've been looking into Yoongi's case. I didn't want to tell you Namjoon because I didn't want you to get hurt too. If you want to still try to find Yoongi I'm gonna tell you now it's gonna be very dangerous. Even the police are trying to cover it up. I'll explain a little of what I found out, the rest of information is in my drawers."

"While I was looking into his case, I searched through my bosses office. I saw that he had a lot of checks with tons of money. The first one has the date a year after Yoongi went missing, which is when they gave up on his case. This makes me think he was bribed to shut his case down. I looked more into Wren Jisung and the people that were on that ship with him. I found some people that were there with him. Most people died on that ship but some survived. Two of them were Lee Jaehyung and Eren Smith. Both were therapists and very good at their job. Both have refused to talk about the incident. I believe they know what's going on. Eren Smith does not live anywhere near us. But Lee Jaehyun lives here in Daegu. It would only be a 4 hour drive. But if you go and your friends i'm asking you to be extremely careful. Don't get yourself hurt. As I said more information is in my drawers. Good luck Namjoon, I love you son."

And after that it ended. "I've been getting directions to where this Jaehyung guy lives and I think I want to go and ask him about everything." Namjoon says.

"Hyung I don't think that's a good idea." Jimin says worried. They all silently agreed. "Jimin I need to find out what really happened to Yoongi and my dad. What if Jaehyung killed my dad? What if Dr.Wren is alive? What if this could lead us to Yoongi?"
