CHAPTER III FIRST DAY JITTERS

Skylar is left alone to attend the afternoon orientation. Most parents accompany their children only in the mornings as they are deemed to be young adults. However, the students here comes from all over the country’s provinces. They are not as sophisticated as the children who were raised in the capital. They always begin with a naive and innocent attitude. Most humans are anyway.

Werewolves are far more mature. While they share the same features with humans when young, their light brown skins glows way until much older. They age with grace and strive to find their purpose in life. That is – the Golden Pear pack’s ambitions.

As for Skylar, she might be intelligent but she justs longs for love and a bit of freedom. For the next five years, she just might enjoy it here.

Skylar’s POV

“Hey Jerry, fancy seeing you again. Just left my parents after lunch. Which room are you looking for? I’m feeling quite jittery. I think we have a lot to sign up for today.”

“Hey Sky, I am studying  Business Management. How about you?”

“I am doing Behavioral Management. Maybe we have some classes together?”

“Hey we are having a lot of classes together seeing that freshman and sophomore years are almost basic. We can see what electives are we going to take as we can decide until later this week.”

“Yes great. Did you meet a sophomore rep yet? I heard we each get a big brother or sister? What is that for?”

“Dunno exactly. I do hope she’s a pretty thing though,” Jerry chuckles.

“Ditto! I hope he’s just as pretty hot!” laughs Sky. She has a feeling that she’s going to her freedom. She has to remember to study though.

Sky may be an omega but she has a subtle regal presence compared to any human her age. She has light brown smiling eyes, cute nose, full sweet lips and a light brown skin with a glowing light golden complexion when one stares at her longer. She is slender and proportional to her 5’2” height and her waist length hair is just awesome. Today, she braided it until halfway her back and let the rest flow down her waist. She  looks like a poised carefree young women about to enjoy her new experience. She doesn’t look stunning, but quite a few heads have turned when she passed by them. Het above the knee jeans skirt and white canvass snickers complements her light pink sleeveless cotton blouse with buttons on the front. The white small flying birds accents her slim figure.

Jerry’s POV

Jerry himself thinks he’s a lucky guy. It’s good to find a friend on the first day of school. He can’t help looking at Sky although he doesn’t really want to let on. After all he has an image to maintain after being voted high school’s most lovable bad boy. Although a bit of a rebel, he is good at heart. Sure he likes girls. Which young man doesn’t? But he doesn’t really chaise them a lot. His jeans fit him well and his black tee shirt with a skull on the back turned more than  a few heads.

Jerry is a 5’8” guy with warm dark chocolate brown eyes which always twinkles. His wavy almost curly black hair falls over his eyes which makes other girls want to touch. He has a slender physique as he is a good swimmer. He has a full almost red lips which makes him totally kissable. Suffice it to say he gets a lot of admirers even though he is not considered as a perfect heartbreaker. His brown complexion is not fair enough to make the majority of the girls swoon. Thus, bagging him the bad boy image.

Looking around the campus, he thought he just have to find all his rooms later.     

“Hey Sky, should we try to find our sophomore representative yet? I got a tip that they would really be a big help to us in finding our way in this school as well as the on going after school lifestyle.”

I think I like Sky but it’s too early yet. I want to enjoy too and find a group of friends as well. But she definitely is a looker. I thinks she’s also smart so also a good seat mate. Secretly smiling, his carefree heart is floating.

“Hey Jer, look at those stands on the school lawn. We are so lucky we still have green grass in this school grounds. The city looks filled with beton buildings to the max. I do enjoy our fresh mountain air a lot. Freshman are lining up. Let’s see what that is,” pulling the arms of Jerry after her.

“Here Sky, we definitely want to check out that cute sophomore rep.”

Upon reaching their turn, Jerry was lucky to find indeed his cute rep Diana Rosas. They talked for a while and exchanged schedules. All the students are lucky enough to have a tablet as they get that as part of the subsidy. They all three got along although Sky has not find her own sophomore rep yet. She’s quite lucky as well since Diana is friendly. If her rep is a jerk, she can at least go to Diana.

They did not find Sky’s rep and its closing time. The sophomore manning the booths are going home as well as their job for today is over. They are after all assigned to assists freshman students for at least this year. On their senior year, they are not obligated as most have a lot more projects to fulfil to graduate. Their friendship last though if they are lucky and the school board aims for the network to strengthen  after graduation as well.

“Jerry & Sky, don’t forget to think well about your electives. Last day to sign on is this Friday. First come, first serve. You can try to find me in the student lounge area. Just send an email or sms me.” Diana winks with Jerry while smiling with Sky as well.

Today is like matching day and group clicks are slowly forming. Sky feels like they maybe the rebel and tweety.

I think I’m so lucky today. Two lovely ladies on my side. Jerry did not miss the envious looks of an all guys club in two corners and quite a few chicks turning their head.

Sky did not meet her sophomore rep yet but she’s still glad. She looks up suddenly while typing the last number of Diana’s she’s dictating to them both. A good looking boy with huge dark eyes smiles at her. Although he’s about 50 meters away and there are hundreds of students around, Sky couldn’t help but smile sweetly back. Her jitters turned to a smile. She has a feeling she’s gonna love it here. After all, there are not only two cute guys. A lot more gorgeous guys seems to be all around her. Even if they are only human.
