"You were broken glass but I still touched you even though I knew I would get hurt"
WE STAYED in our dorms for the rest of the afternoon, Hermione was studying and Ginny was out in the common room doing who knows what.
"Hermione?"
"Yes?" She closed her book and turned towards me waiting for me to answer. I tugged my shorts down. "Do you believe in love at first sight?"
She furrowed her eyebrows. "I do but, isn't that just falling in love with their looks?" I nodded, satisfied with that she turned back to her book. Soon it was curfew and everyone fell asleep Ginny being the first and then Hermione. I got up and headed towards the common room sitting by the fire. "Sirius? Sirius?" I turned around and met with Harry's eyes.
"Harry? It's late what are you doing up?" He seemed surprised and suspicious of me being there as well. He straightened up and his eyes darting around. "I could be asking you the same thing, Ana. You should go to bed." He seemed in a hurry for me to go to my room. I shook my head. "Why were you calling for Sirius?" I asked him, his eyes widened.
"You can just tell me, Harry. I can keep a secret." I said while sitting back down on the couch. "He asked me to meet him in the common room at one in the morning." I looked at the fire and saw something forming. "Isn't that him in the fire?" I laughed as Sirius's face formed in the fire "Ana? Don't listen to this." Sirius said quickly I nodded and turned around reading the Daily Prophet about Harry. I giggled quietly as I skimmed over how Rita Skeeter said he was 12.
All I could hear was mumbling, it was really easy for me to ignore what people were saying around me if I focused on something else. I knew this was important if Sirius risked being seen by someone other than Harry and I had seen him. He didn't seem to mind me seeing him we had grown close over the summer he was like the funny uncle I never had. I heard footsteps coming down the boys' stairwell me and Harry turned to look. It was Ron. "Oh, it's just you too. I thought I heard another voice." He said a disgusted look on his face as he stared at Harry. "It was just us. Maybe you're imagining things." Harry replied.
"Probably just practicing for your next interview I expect. Ana, you should be in bed." He said nothing more as he went up to his room. I rolled my eyes, he was jealous that's what this is all about. Harry scoffed and turned to look at me "I didn't put my name into the Goblet of Fire." He said, "I know Harry I know." I said I patted my lap and he came around almost jumping before laying his head on my lap. I ran my fingers through his hair. Something I started doing with Ron when he would have nightmares when we were young. I started doing it with Harry in this common room not long ago.
"Why does no one, believe me, Ana?" He asked I used my other hand to take off his glasses. My heart filled with sympathy as I didn't know what to respond with. "I'm sure there are people that believe you, Harry but you will get through this we will find a way, there's always a way." I almost groaned at how bad I was to comfort him at this moment so vulnerable to him. I felt a tear slip down my thigh. "Don't cry, Harry." He sniffled as I brought a blanket over him.
"I'm scared, Ana."
My heart ached. The world was so cruel to bring this upon him. No year in this school has been a normal school year for him and there are evil human beings after him when he has done nothing to them. He's just a boy.
"It's gonna be okay to be scared Harry but don't let it overwhelm you I am here for you, Hermione is here for and Ron is too even though at the moment he is being a jerk he will come around," I stopped when I noticed he had fallen asleep. I managed to form a small smile before looking at the fire. "I wish you could at least do something, Sirius."
~~~~~
Ron dragged me with him the next day not letting me leave his side to go somewhere else. I had not seen Harry since the morning after I woke him up early so Ron wouldn't see us. Ron and I had the exact same classes and it was easier for him to drag me with him.
I had finally gotten some alone time as I exited the loo when Ron grabbed me again and was shaking me "CHARLIE IS HERE!" He screamed my eyes widened. My brother was here?! We shook each other in excitement. "Come on let's go!" He yelled before grabbing my hand and we started running. People were probably looking at us weirdly as we ran holding hands with big smiles on our faces. Not far away I saw my brother's redhead and I let go of Ron's hand and ran faster as we both jumped him the same time. "Charlie what are you doing here?" We asked at the same time. He ruffled our hair like when we were young.
"Came to bring the dragons from Romania for the tournament of course." He said his voice filled with excitement like when he told us all about dragons before we went to bed when he used to live with us. "Dragons?" Ron asked while looking at me, fear in his eyes. "Yes come on I'll show you them," Charlie said as he patted our backs and Ron followed slowly behind. We stopped behind some bushes Charlie didn't want to bring us too close since the dragons were really angry and were breathing fire everywhere.
"I heard Harry was chosen as a champion for the tournament?" Charlie asked while looking at me and Ron. Ron nodded. "Yes, that bastard-" I cut him off with a nervous laugh "He's really scared and before you ask no he didn't put his name in. Someone else did. No one below the age of 17 was allowed." I said Charlie nodded "We got a dragon for each of them." He said I glanced at Ron who looked about ready to faint. I coughed "I think we should be heading back now." I said and Charlie nodded and muttered that's right.
"I heard the twins tried an aging potion," Charlie said I laughed thinking about it and I and Ron made him laugh as we explained what happened. Sooner than we liked we reached the entrance of the school.
"I'll send you guys your gifts for Christmas okay?" We nodded at him and said our goodbyes before departing back towards the castle. "I'ma go do something for a bit Ana," Ron said, I nodded and he walked the opposite direction. I started walking towards the Gryffindor common room but just my luck I run into Draco Malfoy.
"Well if it isn't Harry Potter's little girlfriend." I rolled my eyes and tried to go around him but he grabbed my arm roughly and pushed me against the wall. "I like seeing you this vulnerable. You're so weak, Weasley." Tears sprung in my eyes as the pain swept over my body from the roughness of the wall. This seemed all too familiar even the feel of his hand on my arm, "Malfoy-" He put his finger on my lips. He traced them and he got closer I looked at him confused, what is he doing? I pushed him away with my legs and he fell on his bum. He growled and I quickly started walking and before I turned the corner I could have sworn he said something.
I'm going crazy. Why would he a Slytherin and a Malfoy go after me a Gryffindor and a Weasley? A blood traitor in his words.
