Neil begins to discuss the filming schedule for the day, " We will have a quick brief every morning, like this one, just before you go to test hair and make up , etc blah blah. Then we will rejoin and begin training before shooting. Few tips-" he begins to tell us both what I assume will be really helpful tips but I'm so lost in Theo and those eyes, wow! I mean they are like two supernovas of stars, breath-taking. He still seems cold though, like he did in the hallway. Or maybe he was just extremely focused and trying to get in to character, a technique many other actors use, he just brought it to an whole new extreme. He had a stern expression as if he was trying to solve a sudoku puzzle, listening intently to Neil's advice, desperate to hear more. Have the advantage almost, even though I could hear also, I was choosing not to listen. A stupid decision to make, I might add.

I heard a crash of what sounded like lights echo around the room, originating from backstage. Of course it had to be Miles.

"Sorry. Oops, sorry. Pardon me" he says sincerely as he edges through the crowd of crew trying to clear the mess he made. Oh goodness, Miles. I forgot about him. He is also in this movie, he plays my enemy Peter which is going to be weird as we were a couple in The Spectacular Now, but I was just so relieved when I found out there was going to be a friendly face on-set. I hardly know of anyone else who's going to be in the movie, rumours is all. Maybe Neil's briefing will tell us more, which Miles had interrupted. All eyes on him, as usual. Not like I was listening anyway, I'd find out in a few hours so nothing lost.

"Shailene!" Miles yells in excitement. I just smile and wave awkwardly. When he finally reaches me I hug him. No time for a real catch up whilst Theo and Co. were present.

"Hello Miles." Neil says. "Will you be joining us for this brief or no?"

"Erm, sure."

"Well you are already late so listen up-" then he continued.

I decided to take the high road and concentrate on what Neil was saying, something about where we would be travelling for filming, Chicago, Atlanta, etc. But I could see Miles trying to get my attention ever so discretely, I tried to keep my face straight and focus. I was going to kill him later.

Neil carries on with his brief of the day, how were not going to begin shooting today but character and cast relationship building exercises. I was going to meet and work with Kate Winslet, a Hollywood star. She was in one of my favourite films, Titanic, a tragic story I might add. She was breathtaking. Anyway, we are lead into this huge almost empty room that is only occupied with chairs in a circular shape. Neil and Veronica take their seats and indicate for me, Theo and Miles to sit down anywhere. Not long after, we are joined by the rest of the cast, Kate, Ansel, etc. I was really excited to meet everyone but very anxious, the majority of these people are world-renowned.

We sat and began our exercises.

---

"Right time for lunch everybody." Neil announces.

In sync, we all stood up.

"Hey Shai, if you don't mind me calling you Shai, I would love for you to come sit with us at lunch." Ansel says. Clearly by 'us' he means Zoe, Miles, Ben and Christian. The main youth cast, if you will.

"Yeah sure, be right there." I reply.

I was glad they had invited me, I just assumed Miles would but it was nice for someone else to ask instead.

Me and Theo were the last to leave as we were furthest away from the door.

"That was fun, wasn't it?" I laugh, clearly being sarcastic.

He hesitates not showing any sign of amusement.

"What makes you think you can talk to me?" He asks. I laugh until I realise he was being deadly serious. His eyes pierced through my skull, not blinking once.

"Oh erm. I don't know." And with that reply he walks away, not even holding the door open for me.

I try to push that short and definitely not sweet conversation out of my mind as it was rather patronising and intimidating and I didn't want it to spoil my first day on set.

I shake it off and head to the cafeteria.

I grab a helping of the vegetarian special on offer and join my new friends for lunch. Well 99% of the people present were my friends but Theo was there. Everyone seemed to love him, everyone besides me. The tension rose and I remained almost silent for the rest of lunch. Almost.

But after lunch, Neil told me and Theo to go to a certain room to rehearse some lines together.

I made Zoe walk with me as I didn't know how far the room was and I would do anything to avoid that awkward walk with Theo and his ego.

---

When I arrive Theo is already there waiting. Neil hands us both a script and tells us to go to the scene where Tris and her new initiate friends are having lunch for the first time at Dauntless and her and Four have that awkward conversation.

"Okay. Start from the top of page 62."

"So were you a transfer or dauntless born?" I ask, trying to portray Tris as well as I can in front of both Neil and Veronica.

"Seriously?" Theo says. Embodying Four the mean dauntless leader excellently. Not like it seems hard for him after his rude encounters with me today.

"What?" I reply, still in character.

"What makes you think you can talk to me."

I freeze. That's exactly what Theo said to me like half an hour ago. Those exact words. I was momentarily confused, was he following the script or what? I look down at Theo's lines and realise that he was just reading the script.

"Erm, Shailene. Next line please." Neil says.

Oh right, yeah.

"It must be because your so approachable." I say and smirk sassily, I always envisioned Tris doing that.

"And cut. That's enough. Great job both of you. Now let's head down to the others." Neil announces.

Me and Theo follow closely behind Neil and Veronica.

"Hi." Theo says, actually smiling.

"Hi." I say smiling back.

"I'm sorry if I came across as rude earlier, I just wanted to practise my lines." He says almost laughing.

I was so shocked, maybe he wasn't that malicious after all. Just a joker, I guess we have something in common.

"Well you are a very good actor." I grin.

"That's probably why I'm here. I hope you won't let it stop us being friends?"

"Of course not." I smile and we hug it out. His warm embrace instantly heating my body and when I release my arms from his torso I realise he'd also heated my bright red cheeks. I turn my face away so he doesn't see my obvious blush.
