//Twelve — My Stolen First Kiss//

Willa Van der Mariel

I sighed, and slammed my locker, and jumped slightly when it made a great slamming noise, echoing in my ears. My day had been uneventful, and I was wondered if Mason was going back on the deal since I hadn’t seen him all day.

Not even in History.

I wasn’t sure if I was pleased or displeased that I hadn’t seen him all day, but I was leaning more towards pleased. I quickly, gathered up my stuff and turned to leave, when a figure came into my view. I was quite tall, but Mason was much taller, and I was just underneath his chin. He was looking very pretty, again, with his scruffy blonde hair and great blue eyes that looked almost silver in the light. When, he saw me he grinned, making my stomach fill with butterflies.

MAKE IT STOP!

It didn’t stop. Instead, I relaxed my face into a slightly bored expression and thought of a way to greet him without seeming weird.

“Hello Willow”

“It’s Willa” I said flatly, ignoring the curious stares of the bystanders. I could read their expressions, it differed between ‘What is he doing with her?’ and ‘God, he’s hot’.

Mason grinned, and slung a arm around my shoulder, making me flinch. I didn’t like being touched, it made me feel uncomfortable. He didn’t even notice, only kept walking, looking incredibly comfortable with the attention. I wasn’t comfortable with the envy stares from half the girls, who looked at me like I had stole their favourite pairs of shoes.

You can have the shoes.

“How was your day, babe?” He asked, dropping his voice so it was low and sexy.

Involuntarily, I shivered. This made his smirk widen, and my cheeks to flush. “I’m not babe” I stated flatly, trying to pull my mind away from the warmth on his arm.

He was really warm.

Oh, this is too good.

Oh, shut up!

He led me over to some lockers that weren’t occupied, and much to my surprise, he pushed me against them. Everything inside of me tensed, and I tightened my body together. His hot breath ran up my neck, causing goosebumps to rise. I could feel everyone’s shocked stares, and Mason’s great blue eyes that were trained on me like I was a new toy for him to play with. My heart began to beat, punching itself against my rib.

“Your very tense” He said, quirking his lip up.

“W-w-well, your v-very…” I trailed off, trying to find my vocabulary.

His smirk widened. “Sexy, good-looking, bad ass?”

“I was going to say obnoxious”

No you weren’t.

Mason grinned, and his warm aura crawled up my skin, causing me to shudder again against the lockers. My heart was pumping again, and my face was burning with heat. He leaned closer to my ear, pushing his warm breath against my cheek.

“You have never been kiss before?”

I nodded, feeling suddenly embarrassed.

“Well, that’s unfortunate, since all your kisses after this will be bullshit”

Then, before I could register what was going on, his warm lips were pressed against mine. I was frozen in shock for a moment, until something inside of me clicked. I began to kiss him back, and heard him make a sound of surprise, but his lips didn’t stop. My arms wound themselves in his soft blonde hair that felt like silk.

Seriously, how does he get it like that?

And his hands wrapped around my waist, pulling me closer. Heat was running through my veins, and my heart was beating rapidly fast. A second later he had broken off, and I caught a glimpse of wildness in his eyes before a smirk grew up his lips. My face went pink, and I looked down at my feet, embarrassed.

“You enjoyed that?” He laughed, making it sound almost like a question. “I think you got a little carried away, Willow. I know I am attractive, but you struck me more as a milder person”

Oh, that does it. Bring Sexy Willa out of the bag.

She was out.

I looked up at him through my eyelashes, which made his eyes widen in slight surprise. Energy was radiating through me, and ignoring the open mouths of the bystanders, I gave him a smirk.

“Don’t pretend you didn’t kiss me back, Mason. I did see the wildness in your eyes, and—,” I patted his stomach, which was hard with abs. Shit. “— maybe take a cold shower? It’s sprouting up like a weed” Then, before he could register what I said, I was out from in between the lockers and him and practically bolting out of there.

So, naturally, I tripped once and fell flat on my face, then got up and tripped again.

You know for a minute I thought you were going to get away with sexy, Willa.

“My first kiss was stolen from me, today” I told Averie, squeezing her hand. “My lips virginity is gone! Gone! Just like that! Blood freaking Mason Singer. Ugh”

I was in the hospital, ranting to my sister about todays event. It was raining lightly outside much to my surprise, and only made my visit more mournful and sad. Averie was still asleep, breathing quietly to herself and looking much younger than she was. Her brown hair was pulled out around her, making it look like a dark sun.

“It was a pretty good kiss, though and yeah…”

That pained me to say more than it should’ve. I had been mentally conflicted all day, and my head had began to throb. I looked down at Averie, blinking away the tears that had began to build up.

“Oh, Ave’s, you need to wake up. My audition to Juilliard is coming, and I am terrified. I miss you, so much and…” I felt my throat tighten, then before the tears could come I was out of my seat and leaving the hospital. “Bye Averie” I said before I left, leaving my sister all alone in the hospital room. I tripped over — once.

Outside, the streets were splattered with people and I watched them go by, wondering if they had lives as screwed as mine.
