Erik sat in his bed, carefully watching Scarlett sleep her intoxication off. From everything he could get from her, which became increasingly harder to do once he gave her the drinks she requested, her boyfriend, Dan, had managed to get Jessa pregnant. Scarlett rolled onto her back and began to snore loudly. "Easy there Mami." Erik crawled to his knees and rolled her back to her side. "I don't need you choking on vomit in the middle of the night." He returned to his seat on his bed, allowing himself to lightly doze off while he tried to understand the complex love-triangle that the woman beside him found herself entangled in and devastated by.

The morning came rather quickly for Erik. He couldn't rest very well as his mind kept bouncing between making sure Scarlett was safe and figuring out what happened that was making her so upset that she felt the need to get black-out drunk. He reached over and took her phone from his dresser. He unlocked her screen and scrolled through her contacts until he found Jessa. "The only way I can help her, is if I get the whole story." He began to type out a message to Scarlett's best friend, in hopes of being able to settle things. He hoped that Jessa would be willing to talk with him – she wasn't his biggest fan, ironically because of Scarlett's relationship with Dan.

Jessa had a death grip on her phone all night. She wasn't sure if Trevor would try to contact her after everything that happened the night before – and she wasn't exactly sure what she'd do if he did. The vibration the phone in her hand sent her emotions into a tailspin. She hated herself that she still loved Trevor – even after walking in on him with another woman. She held her breath as she unlocked her phone to look at her messages, her heart sinking when she discovered it wasn't from Trevor, but from Scarlett. She looked beside her. Dan was still sound asleep. She cautiously opened the text.
It's Erik. I know it's early, but can you please meet me somewhere? I want to talk to you. Thanks.
"Not like I have anything I have to do right now." She muttered softly to herself as she typed her response to him.

Erik read Jessa's response then deleted the messages. Scarlett continued to snore loudly on his bed, blissfully unaware of her surroundings for the time being. He stepped into his jeans he discarded by his bed the night before and gave his shirt a quick sniff. "It's clean enough. I'll change when I get back." He grabbed his phone and texted Scarlett a quick note, explaining that he went out to get her coffee to help with her hangover. He placed her phone close to her hand and slipped out the door.

Jessa did her best to climb over Dan's legs on the bed without stirring him. "Double bed and he has it against a wall. Who does that?" She grumbled, having finally escaped the bed. She dug into her bag for her notebook and hastily scribbled down a note for Dan promising coffee. She brushed her hair, stole some gum off of Dan's dresser, and grabbed her keys. She tiptoed down the stairs with her shoes in her hand, mindful to not wake anyone else in the house. She was startled to find Dan's mother sitting at the kitchen table, enjoying a cup of tea. "I'm sorry. I didn't think anyone was up yet." Jessa stammered out.
"I'm always up early." She watched Jessa fiddle with her car keys. "Were you leaving?"
"I'm just going to grab a drink and be right back."
Dan raced into the kitchen with Jessa's note. "Hey Mom, did you see Jes leave?"
His mom pointed to Jessa, who was now standing next to the door. "Hey Danno." She said sheepishly.
