In Which Friendship Spells Troubles
Murong Run Yu could be considered a good candidate for matrimony, if not for the fact that he positively shrinks at any contact with outsiders.
Soft spoken, impeccable manners, an appearance of jade, a good sincere heart, and a mind wise beyond his years. Adored by everyone in his family and anyone that ever came into prolonged contact with him.
A child of a widely acclaimed literary family, with the weight of countless generations of venerable ancestors on his family altar. Scholars, poets, teachers, nationally ranked artists as well as historical figures and philosophers.
Murong family was a name deserving respect and admiration!
Run Yu was also one of the new, bright star in the publication world. Hiding behind the pseudonym “QianNian QinLing”, he wrote several wildly successful online fantasy novels that went on to become staples on the bestsellers lists, having reprints ordered several times.
Initially written on a whim, meant for the enjoyment of teenagers, the beautiful universal underlying themes that ran within the stories made it popular with the general public. Even pensioners won't be embarrassed to be caught reading these books, cheerfully discussing the finer details with their grandchildren.
He won several literature awards and received many offers from production companies, wishing to bring his works to life.
However, it's always his editor that had to climb the stage at these award ceremonies and went to countless lunch meetings to smash the hopes of these producers and directors.
He was cripplingly shy.

Huang Jing Xing was definitely declared the best, most eligible bachelor in S city. And the the whole country. He even made it into an international list of “The World's Most Eligible Bachelors” of a worldwide publication. Several times.
Tall, handsome, accomplished in his own merits, and one of few heirs to an international conglomerate wealth. Not that he cared too much for that legacy. His own businesses were taxing enough on their own.
With a tiny property he received from his mother, he expanded and formed a string of luxury boutique hotels and restaurants to his name. Joining forces with a few cousins, he then went on to create the crown jewel of their family's business empire, ‘Phoenix’s Courtyard’. The most coveted residential address in the whole country. Complete with everything one could possibly imagine.
Housing, schools, shopping malls, and business district, the ‘Courtyard even had their own hospital, fire station and police station!
It's joked that “once you entered the Phoenix's Courtyards’ you'll never want to leave again!”.
Many people, women and men, had tried their best to climb into his life, or his bed, in order to catch this prime material for themselves.
Unfortunately, he's too busy to realize that.

There were two old ladies who adored each other.
They met at an exclusive establishment designed to churn out the best, most perfect young ladies in exquisite manners and deportment. A finishing school for the upper class, so to speak. And the two girls bonded.
Best of friends, thick as thieves in their adolescence, but unfortunately Life had managed to intrude, and they lost contact with each other for years.
A chance meeting at a tiny coffee shop and a twin shrieking of happiness from two tiny old ladies began the troubles for our shy Run Yu and our busy Jing Xing.
