7- Beating Hearts

GUYS I'M SO SORRY THIS TOOK SO LONG I PROCRASTINATED! PLEASE FORGIVE ME! 

Jimin's POV

Content. That's all I felt at that moment. I could hear the seagulls squawking, I could see the sun peaking out on the horizon, and I could hear his heartbeat. His breath tickled my neck as I rocked him to sleep, his cute little snores made my heart skip a beat, and his heartbeat stayed at the same pace as mine. Our hearts were beating quickly, and I knew what I was feeling. We might have only met twice, but I knew what was happening.

I was falling for this boy.

I knew I couldn't fall for him, it's against everything they tell us. Don't go near fairies, they'll only hurt you. This one isn't hurting me, so why should I listen to what everyone says is true? I looked at the boy in my arms and I knew I had to go, we'd be in danger otherwise. I told my dad I was gonna clean the ocean tonight, I did but I just wanted to come here. I like it better here than in the ocean, it's more peaceful I guess. Believe me, I love the ocean, it's my homeland but the land just has so many beautiful things, and people, that I could easily fall in love with. (a/n too soon?)

I felt Kook squirm and make little noises, (a/n not THOSE noises ya nasties) as he tried to wake up. I had to stop myself from pinching his cheeks, it was very difficult. He eventually opened his eyes to look at me, he smiled softly and snuggled into my arms even further. 

"Kook-ah you need to get up. You can't fall asleep again, we might get caught." I pat his head to get him to look at me.

"I don't wanna get up. I wanna stay here with you Minnie." He looked at me with puppy dog eyes. Fight it Jimin, don't give in. I sighed.

"I know, but we can't get caught and you know that. Go and fly home and I'll swim to my home, okay?" I started to pet his soft hair to relax him.

"Will we meet again?" Jungkook looked at me and I smiled.

"Of course we'll meet again. Tonight after everyone is asleep, meet me in the cove covered in trees. Nobody goes there anymore." I hugged him close before letting him fly away, back to his home.

Time Skip

It was Monday morning in the ocean and I have to meet my friends at the school to talk to a group of teenage guppies. (BUBBLE GUPPIES) The topic is about love, strange I know, but love is one of the powers that keep the ocean alive. Without love, no water can exist and without water, no living things can exist. This planet we call home would become a wasteland. This class discussion is more important than it sounds, even if it sounds super cheesy.

I swam down the coral pathway to the large white building with two pearl studded doors, this is a very extra school. I could see my friends waiting by the building, Tae was chasing Jin with a piece of seaweed while Namjoon was apologizing to a child he bumped into, I think Joon broke her toy typical. I sighed and prepared myself before walking towards the shitshow called my friends. The little girl's mom slapped Namjoon and swam away, leaving a pouting Namjoon behind. 

I shook my head and swam to my friends, they saw me and swam towards me. Tae jumped on me and sniffed my neck, of course, I got weirded out so I pushed him off and demanded answers. 

"Tae! Why'd you sniff me?" I looked at him baffled.

"You smell different," he squinted his eyes at me, "did you meet someone earlier today?" 

"Jimin! Did you go on a date? Are you still pure?" Jin squished my cheeks and looked at me with concerned eyes. I felt my face heat up and I pushed his hands off. 

"YOU DID! Tell me who she is!" Look what you got yourself into, idiot. 

"Guys, I didn't meet anyone, I just got a new... perfume." I smiled at them, hoping they'll buy the excuse.

"Dangit, I was hoping you found someone so you can come out of your virgin shell. Such a shame..." Tae shook his head at me then sighed, "We should go inside, we don't wanna be late."

We all nodded then swam towards the doors of the school. We stopped in front of them then pressed a button to open them. They slowly creaked open, one of the doors hit Namjoon in the face, and we swam inside. The hallway was huge. The entire building was made of marble and all of the lockers had shell codes on them. Everything looked way too expensive to be a high school. We walked inside to find the room we were teaching our class in. We found it on the map, yes a map, and swam to our room. Once we got there Namjoon took out the keys and we went into the room. 

It looked like a typical classroom with seats, desks, and a whiteboard. Tae got out the books and put one on each desk. Jin got the markers and started writing on the board about our lecture. Namjoon and I went around the room picking up all the trash we could find on the floor. We had 30 minutes before the lecture would start, so we decided to freshen up in the bathroom.

" Tae do I look okay? Is there anything on my scales?" Tae turned to inspect my entire being, it looked like he was staring into my soul. 

I thought everything was okay until I saw him look at my neck. He swam close to me and plucked the thing off of me. When he saw what it was his eyes widened. I looked at the small green leaf in his hand. 

"Jimin, why is there a leaf on your neck?"

Hello! I'm so sorry this took so long to write! A lot of very emotional things have happened to me and it took a toll on my inspiration. Anyway, I hope you all enjoyed this chapter and I hope to talk to you all soon!
