"I LOVE HER!" Sohee screamed, tears streaming from her face as agony filled her bloodstream and tiny bee-like stings tingled across her cheeks.
"You can't love someone you can't even see!" her parents screamed back, mentally shattering at the fact that their little girl was talking to someone older than her on social media, claiming-no- planning on running away.
Every message, every 'i love you' was read over twice by Sohee's parents, they didn't understand the pain she was going through, they didn't understand that she desperately needed approval from girls, needed love and attention from girls.
Her birth 'mother' had lost the parental title the first time sohee was lied to. Sohee wasn't a stupid individual and could easily sniff out lies. Countless night of deceit and misery would cloud her thoughts as her mother went out every night to meet with other men while her step father lay on the couch partially crippled due to a hockey incident.
Life wasn't easy for any if them. Sohee was ripped away from the kind words of her step father, and annoyingly playful little sister. Sohee despised her mother for the way she made everyone feel.. Worthless.
Sohee played curled into the fetal position on the couch in her living room, beginning to slowly stop crying from her parents harsh words, falling into a bitter sleep full of darkness.
Timeskip two days.
"as soon as we get home you need to pack your things, I've called your grandma and you will be staying there for a week" sohee's dad said, flipping onto the steering wheel until his knuckles were a slight shade of white.
Sohee knew why she was going to her grandma's house, it's a type of lesson- a life lesson.
Skip to end of grandma's visit.
Sohee finished repacking all of her things, breathing a sigh of relieve as she is finally going to be going home.
Home
Sohee cringed, pausing temporarily until continuing to pack, hearing the honking of the car horn outside- she rushed to get to the car, quickly saying bye to her grandmother and hopping into the car.
The car ride was silent, an hour goes by of staring at the country side, tapping her thigh to the beat of the almost quiet music.
"School starts tomorrow" her dad said, turning to look at her briefly before turning back to watch the road.
Sohee was more than ecstatic, thinking of seeing her friends for the first time in three months, summer break had been a chore.
