I replayed our conversation over and over again, trying to figure out why Prince Xander showed up at my door last night, and I couldn't think of a single reason. I was in my room getting ready when my three maids came in, Olivia, Lily, and Stephanie. "Miss, the royal family has invited you to breakfast today." Olivia said. " From now on, you will have breakfast with them every morning from eight o'clock to nine o'clock." Me? Eat breakfast with the royal family? " Okay, thank you. Lily?" "Yes Miss" Lily said. " Do you know why they invited me to breakfast?" "No Miss. His Highness asked me to deliver the message." My head snapped up. "Wait What?" Lucy just smiled at me and said "I think he likes you, Miss." I just stared at her, open mouthed. First the event, then last night, and now this? Why was he being so nice to me? I was just supposed to 'stay out of the way' like Ivette said. Apparently, I haven't been doing a very good job of that lately. I picked out a gray-ish blue dress that was simple but elegant and made my eyes pop. My hair was braided and then pulled back into a bun with blue hair clips. As I headed downstairs and into the dining hall, I couldn't help but feel a little nervous. This was my first time meeting the royal family since I've been here. When I arrived, they were already there choosing from the varieties of foods on the table. Prince Xander saw me first and immediately stood up. "Mother, Father, this is Sarah Smith. She was the person who was singing last night." I was a bit surprised when the queen stood up and gave me a hug. "Oh darling, you sang so beautiful last night and the violin-" "Mother." Xander said with a smile on his face. "Right. Well, lets just say that we really enjoyed it." We all laughed at that. "Well thank you Your Majesty." The King stood up as well and shook my hand. "Shall we sit down?" I didn't realize how hungry I was until the servants piled food on our plates. I sat there quietly while the Prince and the King talked of the war and the events for the day. Other than that, there was little conversation. I caught the Prince's eye a few times and when I looked at him, he either winked or smiled back in my direction. Halfway through breakfast, Ivette came to deliver my schedule and told me if I had a problem with it to call her. I knew that she wouldn't do anything if I did, so I would have to make do. After breakfast, I said goodbye to the royal family and I went up to my room to get my flute. My schedule consisted of many music lessons in a day. One for piano, flute, violin, and vocals with a lunch break in between. After my violin lesson, (with a very strict teacher,) I was about to open the door when I noticed a piece of paper taped to it. That paper was a copy of my new schedule. A new schedule already?, I thought. The schedule stated that after lunch, I was to go to the garden to meet with, you guessed it, Prince Xander himself.
I hope you all enjoyed this chapter. Don't forget to vote if you liked it!
I will be happy to answer any questions you may have. Thanks! :)
