I was in the forest, waiting for my next meal. I was in my fox form, hiding in some tall grass. I spotted a small rat, as I went to pounce on it. I grabbed the rat with my mouth, and I ran off to the cave where my brother was waiting.
"What took you so long, Jamal?" He asked me, clearly impatient.
"Sorry, bro," I responded. "Hunting is hard these days."
"That's no excuse!" He yelled at me.
I turned back to my humanoid form, and I hugged him. "I promise I won't take forever next time, William."
"You'd better keep your word." He told me.
"I know, I know," I said. “I promise.”
I turned to my fox form, and I laid on a bed of dry grass, which was like a nest of sorts. William was next to me. We both fell asleep eventually.
The next morning, I woke up, finding my brother still asleep. I went to a nearby river so I could get some water.
I heard some rustling from the bushes. I jumped over the river to check it out. I saw a female arctic wolf just sleeping in the bushes. I lightly shook her to wake her up.
"Huh?" She said drowsily. "What?"
She saw me and quickly stood up.
"S-Sorry," She stuttered. "W-Was this your area, miss..."
"Jamal," I helped her.
"Why are you here exactly?" I asked her. "And... who are you?"
"B-Belia," She answered. "I'm.. also lost... I don't know how to get home..."
"Maybe I can help," I offered. I turned to my humanoid form.
My hair was white and in pigtails, while my eyes were cyan. My clothing was like white fur with armor for the shirt. The fur part was a knee high skirt. My shoes were like fur as well. I also had a foxtail, along with fox ears.
Her eyes seemed to sparkle.
"So you also have a human form?" She asked rather excitedly. "I.. I didn't know that the foxes also had a human form." She turned to a humanoid form as well.
Her hair was a silver color, in a ponytail. Her eyes were a deep blue. Her clothes were similar to my own, though she had a white lily in her hair.
She blushed a little. "I... I like that..." She got a little closer to me, almost where she's going to kiss me.
"C-Can... I stay with you?" She asked. William finally woke up and noticed us. He walked over.
"Jamal," He said, angered. "Who is this?"
Belia hid behind me, scared of William's presence.
"This is Belia... one of the arctic wolves," I explained. "Can she stay with us?"
William sighed. "Fine," He said, clearly annoyed. "As long as she doesn't do anything... funny..."
Belia suddenly hugged him, catching him by surprise.
"Thank you!" She exclaimed.
He smiled slightly, hugging her back.
"No problem." He said.
