Another flash here, another flash there. The sound of camera lens' shuttering was non-stop. Voices calling for his attention to get the best picture was in both ears, drowning him in an audible sea. They all wanted one thing: a good picture. They would compliment him, tell him how great his album is, and even ask about a second one. It was the same thing but always a different day.
Harry was use to this, however. It had been this way for almost 8 years. This wasn't new to him. But for some reason, tonight just felt different. He felt trapped amongst the lights and swarms of people. Something was missing. Something just wasn't right. It felt like an itch he couldn't scratch.
Jeff, Harry's manager, had decided that Harry needed to get out, maybe go somewhere or appear at something. It was getting quiet ever since his world tour ended in July. The rest felt great. Being able to do things slowly and at his own pace made Harry relaxed.
Harry was practically drug from his home in Malibu and sent to Paris to attend the Gucci fashion show. Don't get him wrong, he loved supporting that company more than anything, but he just needed more down time. But being someone as famous as himself, he knew that he couldn't be in hiding forever. Harry told himself that he just needed to get through tonight. If he got this appearance over with, he could go back into hiding for a while. This should keep the media content for a while, right?
The whole fashion show was a blur. Outfits that he didn't understand came and went to somber music. Bright colors and odd patterns flashed before his green irises but he didn't really pay attention. He felt that itch again. Deep down, he knew exactly what it was. He knew that he needed to take care of it before he lost his mind. However, he needed to wait. At least until he was in the privacy of his own company.
He had but one thing on his mind; her. The thought of her drove him wild. She invaded his thoughts at the most inappropriate of times. She was like an itch he couldn't scratch.
That's what had been bugging him all night. Her. Everything about her sent chills through his body. He hadn't even met her. He only watched her through the small screen of his iPhone. Every night he checked her profile, waiting for a new picture. Many times Harry had wondered if he was becoming a stalker, but he brushed those thoughts away into the breeze. Of course he wasn't. He was just admiring her from afar.
Harry was so engrossed in the thought of her that he didn't realize Jeff had asked him a question.
"Sorry mate, what?" Harry asked, brushing his large clammy hands through his hair. He hadn't noticed the slight pressure against his zipper as he thought about her. Now was not the time.
"I asked if you wanted to go get something to eat. There's a spectacular-" Jeff started but Harry was quick to cut him off.
"I don't think I'm up for food. Feeling a little nauseous. I might just go back to the hotel and sleep it off." Harry lied while situating himself in the theatre chair. He needing to get back to the comfort of his room so he could take care of the that certain itch. Jeff gave Harry a sort of side-eyed stare. Harry was never one to turn down a night out.
"Alright, man. Let me know if you need anything." Jeff said, patting Harry on the thigh. Harry flinched at his touch and removed his leg from underneath his palm. That would put Harry off immediately and ruin all plans he had for later.
"Will do." Harry said quickly, standing to his feet and heading towards the door. Jeff watched him walk off curiously but switched his gaze when another manager to someone as famous as Harry came around.
The journey out of the Montmartre was an absolute nightmare to say the least. Harry would get all but 5 feet only to be stopped by a fan or a fellow celebrity. No matter how many conversations he would have, she was still on his mind. She was like a fly that wouldn't stop buzzing around his head. The tweets she would post of him stuck in his mind. Just today she posted a picture of him with a caption, 'I would let him do so many things to me'. Little did she know, he would take her up on that offer in a heartbeat.
