Ever wondered why guys like me don't have any girlfriends? well... here's my story;
I am Drake Walker, 18 years old, music lover and a video game fanatic, I was raised in a close family oriented environment which only shows that I'm not that of a social person...
yeah.. I'm a college student, studying IT, in a very prestigious school, when suddenly, I met "her".
Monday morning, I was a bit earlier than my sched so I decided to just sit inside the room and play with my PSP, like any other day, this is just normal for me, but then... someone walks in the room, as she enters the room opening the door makes way for a warm wind breezing in, I forgot I was playing Monster Hunter Portable 3rd, that warm fuzzy feeling lingered for a few seconds not noticing I already lost consciousness in the game, seconds after that I hear her soft voice saying "aren't you gonna play? see you already lost consciousness there...". I was speechless. her beauty caught my eye...
"That's Monster Hunter right? I played that when I was in highschool, hmm, wait, you're Drake right?", God, I am so happy... I just smiled and nod... inside my brain, I was like "DUDE SERIOUSLY? YOU JUST NODDED? WTH, IS YOUR MOUTH NOT RESPONDING? YOU COULD'VE STARTED A CONVERSATION WITH HER." and I just had to agree with my brain... minutes after that, the school bell rang... my other classmates entered the classroom together with the professor, and in my mind I knew... I WASTED AN OPPORTUNITY.
No words. later that day, lunch time, she approached me, "Hey, Drake? You still playing that game?" guess what... again I just nodded. I mean my body is literally not cooperating with my brain.
"You seem like the quiet type eh?, oh, and by the way, I haven't even properly introduced my self to you... prolly the reason why you wont respond. I am June". in awe. I mustered up my courage to say "yeah."
just a single word... I am really not much of a social guy.
After what I've said, she replied "bye" as she turns away...
prolly not one of my best conversations ever.
Tuesday, same thing happened, I got in early, she goes in the classroom, but guess what, nothing. There was total silence. no words, not even a slight sound coming from her.
I wondered "what will happen if somehow I managed to start a conversation with her.", so I did. I said "You said you played Monster Hunter right?" she replied...
"Yeah, I'm sorry not in the mood to talk right now..", I knew that maybe if I'd ask her why she'll reply something like "back off" or "mind your own business" a part of me wanted to know, another part of me just don't want to push her.
Seeing that I only have one choice but to shut up, guess what, I didn't, I said "Why, is something wrong?", you know, have you ever felt like there's a heavy atmosphere around that person? well it kinda feels like that, she just smiled politely in return, it's like she's telling me "dude, you shouldn't have asked that"
All through out that day, well I kinda lost the will to ask her again, you know, maybe she doesn't want to talk about it...
