"It's over then, isn't it?" The first kid said to the other.
"..."
A cold breeze washed over the two kids, as if on queue to show that the conversation was over. The two kids who were now strangers to each other sat together on the train tracks.
"I.. I'm sorry about how things turned ou-"
"Go fuck yourself." The second kid interrupted. He didn't flinch a single bit, the cold didn't bother him. The first kid shoved his hands into his jacket, his teeth starting to chatter.
"Is this r-really h-how things are gonna be? C-can't we fix this?" The first kid replied, shivering.
The second kid remained silent for another minute or so, and then got up.
"Goodbye then.." The first kid said to the second, looking up at him. He didn't stop to listen, he just started to walk away down the train tracks. The first kid tried to push himself up, but he was unusually tired. A sudden surge of pain rushed through his leg.
"Ah- shit!" He fell onto the train track on his back, clutching onto his leg. He began to scream as if it was agonizing. Moments later, the blowing of a whistle could be heard. It was loud, and the frequency was close. The train tracks started to rattle.
"Huh?" The second kid looked back at the kid, too distracted with his leg to notice the warning of a train incoming.
The kid let out a humongous yell for help as the pain in his leg increased, and it started to twitch more rapidly. The first kid looked back, "Is this some sick joke?" he thought to himself. What if it wasn't? He stared at the kid, struggling and conflicted with the choice he should make. Then he saw the headlights of the train slowly inching closer.....

Some time before...
BEEP BEEP BEEP
Majima awoke to a terribly annoying noise.
"Ughh.." He waved his arm around the floor near his bed to find his phone. Finally he took a hold of it and threw it across the room.
beep beep beep
At least it was quieter he thought to himself.
"Just five more minutes, cam'on!" He mumbled. The alarm on his phone continued to beep obnoxiously.
"Agghh, what's so important that I have to wake up this early anyway- Oh my God I'm gonna be late for school!" He quickly realized. He launched himself out of his bed and stumbled to where he threw his phone, grabbed his bag and took off out of his room to the living room and saw his mother standing right in front of the door with her arms crossed.
"You're finally ready?"
"Yeah, we gotta go!"
"Not so fast mister.. You said if I stopped coming into your room and waking you up myself you wouldn't start being late again."
"I know mother, I'm sorry, but we gotta go!"
"Why do your clothes look so ragged?" His concerned mother asked and held the door open for him.
"Maaybe I slept in 'em?"
"Oh jeez Majima!" His mom said with disapproval, but he rushed outta the house before he could hear her discouraging words.
"I wish I was this excited for school when I was younger.." His mom thought to herself, making her way to the car.
Usually kids aren't too excited for school, but in this case, it was different. Not everybody has a friend like Christine, after all, so they have no reason to be excited, but Majima did! He'd finally see her again after two months of not being able to, and he was going to make the most of this year with her.
