Utopia's Lost Child

I am the lost child
Whose misery the world sings of.
I am the miserable soul
Your utopia it's based on.

My finger pricked
From an unknown cause.
What would you have done
If it was yours?

I stand long
And stare at a mirror,
To find the human in me,
I dig a little deeper.

I am the ' lost cause '
The world forgot about.
I am the lost child
The world would sing about.

Come and find me
And take me home.
A human I am,
Locked and left in the cold.

All this while,
I beared your burden.
Wouldn't it be nice,
If I too saw a piece of Heaven?

A few moments from now,
Soon I will break.
Better hurry and save me
Before time is too late.

If I fall,
Your kingdom falls with me,
If I go,
My heart too goes with me.

"Come and save me," I said,
"Before I die."
It's too late now,
See, I didn't lie.
