Hailey's P.O.V
I sniffed into the air once again,trying my best to track down Alex. And after a few minutes,I caught a whiff of his smell.It smelt good. Like freshly baked cookies. (A/N:Yum!) I followed his scent till I was out of school and into the forest at the back of the school. The forest seemed magical but it felt as if something was missing. There was not a single sound from the forest. No birds singing or cricket sounds. Nothing but the deafening silence.
I was following Alex's scent when I spotted a small little cottage not far off from where I was standing. I quickly ran to the cottage. I pushed open the door,making it creak loudly. Well,I hope no one hears that. I explored the cottage but I lost Alex's scent halfway. It just disappeared.
I knew something was wrong with the forest. There had to be. I turned around,ready to get out of the forest when I felt a stinging prick on my neck. I saw a black figure standing not too far from me before I passed out cold.
Hi! Sorry for the late update! Got caught up with some stuff. I hope you enjoyed ANOTHER cliffhanger. You probably don't but! Remya will continue the next chapter so look forward to it!
