Courtroom.

Chapter 3

The beautiful Kate Hudson, she plays Kristen. I have always loved her acting and I think she will go down as one of the greatest of all time.

I woke up this morning and I realize I have a huge murder case to solve and because my sisters were eager to see my office I went with them.

When I get to the office Tim tells me that Sierra June is already waiting in my office and I thank him for starting the meeting. My sisters then went with our mother for a tour of the offices, thank God mom has them the whole day.

"So my assistant tells me the landlord of your building violated the contract by not supplying electricity for 2 months and it was not the first time?"

"Not exactly, the first time it was the lack of water for a week. I had to move to my sister's apartment until he fixed the water problem. I did not say anything to him because I did not want to cause a scene, but this time it became worse." she says and I understand because when I was in university I lived in an apartment.

"Now did you bring the contract you signed?" I asked her.

"I gave it you to your assistant who said he will start working on it with the investigator."

"Is it just your apartment only or the whole building?

"The whole building"

As we discuss further more into this lawsuit Tim comes in the office.

"Christall I am so sorry to disturb you but we found something in the contract, it says that if ever a tenant wanted to sue, they are required to put in notice of two weeks before contacting an attorney" Tim says and I have a sickening feeling because I know why this claws was included because I was in the same situation.

"That is great, I once had this kind of problem when I was in college so I know how to fix it. They included this claws because they want to fix the situation before you contact an attorney. That short span of 2 weeks gives them an opportunity to right whatever is wrong with the building."

"Alright let us go to see the apartment shall we, Tim come with us."

'So you are saying it has been like this for 2 months now? Geez who lives in New York without electricity? "Tim says and quite frankly I agree with him.

A knock on the door is heard and Sierra quickly rushes to open it. To my understanding I heard he was the landlord.

"Ms June what has been happening, you have not paid the rent for 2 months now." the man says.

"What are you talking about we have documents that prove there were transactions made from Miss June's account equivalent to the money she pays for rent" I quickly say.

"And who are you ma'am?"

"Attorney Christall Simons of Simons & Associates, my client is suing you for violation of contract."

"Sierra how could you do this you know you have to notify us first."

"Well I did not, so see you in court in the next two days" Sierra responded and we left.

After two days it was the day of the court case and I was dreading it because my sisters decided to start Thanksgiving by watching me work because they have never seen me in the courtroom.

"Guys please don't cause a scene okay?" I plead with them before entering the courtroom.

As I enter I hear the judge asking who was representing Sierra.
