"..Open your eyes." My eyes flicked open, and I stared at the voice.

"Do you know who you are?" the man asked, masking his concern with tenderness.

"..What do you want me to be?" He stopped and gazed through me, whispering to himself.

"The eyes are wrong.. All wrong.." he began poking and prodding me with his fingers, to see what needed to be adjusted, and what he could just leave as is.

"Dilate" My pupil's stretched on command as he began to stare into it. He began to peel back my eyelid, and proceed to touch the eyeball. He rolled it with the pads of his fingers, pressed it gently with his thumb. Turning to his desk, he grabbed a narrow, yet long needle. Fitting the needle into my pupil, he hit a small button.

"There" He said with a grin, "Now I bet you can see much better.. I had forgotten to turn on the heat sensors. Ehe, silly me." he exchanged the needle for a pamphlet, and began to clear his throat.

"Now, time to screen your intelligence." He opened the pamphlet, "What is the square root of 2,493,854?"

"1 579.1941"

"Very good.. And Newton's second law?"

"The relationship between an object's mass, its acceleration, and the applied force is F = ma. Acceleration and force are vectors in this law the direction of the force vector is the same as the direction of the acceleration vector."

He chuckled and smiled at me.

"You sound so vacant. We'll have to work on your voice box." grabbing a scalpel he continued. "But both of those are correct, and I don't feel like I need to pressure you to answer any more." Softly touching my neck, he began to feel for the Laryngeal prominence.

"Here we are." He slit my neck with care, dodging any tissue like a true master. He reached into my throat and pulled out my larynx.

"Here's the problem! We never actually edited your vocal range. I'm truly sorry!" tapping into it's system, he set it to an appropriate level.

"Now you sound perfect.. Think Perfect, and look just as good." He welded my neck back together, all the time smiling to himself. "You truly do look like and angel.. Engel."
