Annabeth's POV:
The sun was streaming in my room when I woke up the next morning. By now, my brain was going over all the battle plans I thought of throughout the past couple days. This is it. Day one of the Hunger Games.
---------------Bob the Line Breack----------------------------
After breakfast, Percy pulled me into his room for the last time before the games.
"You remember when President Snow said we could each take one non-weapon into the area right?" Percy asked. He sat on his bed across from me.
"Yeah," I said pulling out my invisibility cap.
Percy grinned and pulled out riptide, "They don't know this is a weapon, so it'll work, the mortals that checked each object couldn't see throught the mist so I have this," Percy smirked, "But, you need a weapon. So, when the games start, you run to find shelter and I'll grab a weapon for you."
I laughed, "Very funny," I stopped laughing, "There is no way in Hades will I leave all the fighting to you, I'll go get my own weapon, you gets supplies like a backpack,"
"No," Percy countered, then he gave me his puppy dog eyes that I never seem to learn to resist, "but if you fight, I'll be worried about you the whole time and the I'll be distracted."
After an intense staring contest. He won again with his puppy dog eyes. "Fine, you get weapons and supplies but if you get hurt in any way, you'll be in SO much trouble,"
"Sure wisegirl," Percy smiled and kissed me before giving me a hug. "See you in the arena then Wisegirl," with that, he left the room and went to board the hovercraft with Portia.
I walked out of Percy's room to find Cinna waiting for me.
"Let's go then," He nodded at me while handing me a wetsuit like suit.
"What is this for?" I asked holding out the suit in front of me.
"Your outfit for the arena," Cinna replied, "Go change,"
A wet suit, I thought. Meaning water, well that's convienent. I was glad since that would be really great for Percy since he was literally born from water. But for me, well, let's just say I can't really swim and my mom never took me to lessons because of he long rivalry with Poseidon. Oh well. After I quickly changed into the suit, Cinna and I headed to the hovercrafts, I went on to the one with all the tributes.
I spotted Percy inside as soon as I reached the top of the stairs. He was glaring at Cato, Who sat across from him, and trying his best to get Clove, who was on his left, to let go of his arm. I sat down next to Percy and a woman stabbed a tracker into my arm.
"Help me," he whispered, he was still glaring at Cato but was now starting to get annoyed at Clove.
Clove suddenly got up and sat down again, next to Cato who imediantly broke of his glaring contest with Percy and started whispering to Clove.
"Thank the gods," Percy sighed in relief, shaking the arm where Clove was clinging tightly to just seconds ago.
I smiled and lightly puched his shoulder. Only Percy can make me laugh in times like this.
Soon, the hovercraft took off and before we knew it, we arrive at the arena.
As each tribute got of the hovercraft, I gave percy a hug and was led to a room my a couple peacekeepers.
