One Part Story (Book #3)

You Know The Title Already

I feel pain...so much of it. A weird tingly sensation is crawling around my neck. I blink, trying to clear my head. I hear voices but I can't detect the words. Something is wrong.

"AngelWing! Stop poking her!" I hear someone say.

"Shut up Slash," comes the reply.

I open my eyes, squinting at the brightness. Slash, AngelWing, and a girl I've never seen before were standing over me. 

The girl had auburn hair and green eyes. She was wearing all turquoise. I groan, why does everything hurt? 

Slash puts his hands on my chest. I blush hard but his hands glow and I feel better. He is blushing too. The a dark figure comes into my vision. Its Lev.

"Whats he doing here?"

"He's helping us get food," says the turquoise girl. 

"Shut up Blast," snaps AngelWing. Her name is Blast? Okay then...

I try sitting up but I scream and fall back down. Why does everything hurt so bad? Flashes of red streak my vision. Slash is there, his hands on my chest again. Cruel world...everything hurts...

I'm alone. I'm broken. I have nothing. I pull my leather jacket tighter around myself. She's gone and I can't bring her  back.

I'm Chao Fifer. Last of my family. The damn zombies killed them all except for me and my little sister, Aqua. But Aqua is gone now, frozen to death.

I shiver and fall onto my knees. I use my glam to draw a small shelter. I have two glams, Drawer and Sky Bender. It's pretty rare but my Sky Bender glam is really weak. I draw a bed and a fire. Both appear. I crawl into the bed and fall asleep. My dreams are haunted by her. Oh, why couldn't I save Aqua? 

I wake up sweating. Ugh, it's nasty out here. I erase my shelter and continue walking. That's all I've been doing, walking through mountains of rubble and destruction, looking for a sign of survivors. I miss my siblings. I had six of them, all annoying, but still, they were my siblings.

Three days later I'm in Los Angeles. The beautiful city is now trashed. I'm looking for people. I Draw a compass. It serves also as a heat sensor. After a few minutes of adjusting, it starts beeping rapidly. Survivors! I run in North-West. I stop at a huge mansion, unscathed. I start to Draw but I realize that the material is Athim, the one material I can't Draw through. 

I hear moaning. Zombies. Crap, I don't need this. I Draw a dagger and chuck it at the thing but it catches it and throws it back. I duck, dropping to the ground. The knife slams into the wall of the mansion. I hear yelling so they obviously heard it. The zombie looks distracted so I Draw another knife and throw it at the zombie. It explodes and I retrieve my knife just as a girl and a boy step out.

"Why did you attack us?"
