KARAPATAN
Maine was already exhausted this week, so was Alden. It has been a tiring and stressful day for the both of them until Alden had watched the video that is spreading like a wildfire in almost all of his social media accounts that made him more anxious. He keep on checking Maine and calling her.
"Love, are you alright?" Alden asked Maine while walking back and forth in his condo
"Im fine, why?" Maine asked, acting clueless but he know his girlfriend well.
"I saw the video and I'm sure you saw it too" Alden answered
"Yes, but don't worry I'm fine. Just ignore it" Maine told Alden as she can feel that he is now almost eaten by his emotions
"Why would I ignore the video, if my girlfriend is now being bashed because of her 'Friend'?" Alden is really serious right now so definitely Maine won't win this argument. So she sighed and let her emotions take her. Alden, her worry-wart boyfriend has been worried for he knows that Maine is just hiding her emotions because Maine, being his bubbly girlfriend that doesn't want his boyfriend to be sad due to their problems so she'll just catch problems all by herself without telling him. This is a rare day for the both of them, since Maine who tends to keep her emotions will open up and cry to Alden.
"Love, I'm sorry" Alden finally talked since Maine's emotions subsides
"No, you don't need to. It's not your fault." Maine answered still catching her breath.
"Nope, it is still my fault. I didn't get to protect you from him." Alden said as he is getting his car key, wallet, and phone.
"Please... Alden stop blaming yourself, it's not anyone's fault." Maine said while now heading to her kitchen to get a bottle of water.
"Fine, I'm going to your condo. What do you want?" Alden asked
"Nothing, just bring yourself safe." Maine asked him
"Okay, don't open your social media accounts until I said so." Alden told him
"Yes Mister, but can I at least play online games?" Maine asked
"A big no for today my Love. I know you, for sure you will break my rules Nicomaine." Alden told her
"Fine, I love you." Maine gave up
"I love you too. Don't break my rule Love, I'll be calling Dean to guard you until I arrived"
"Wow! Bantay-sarado na naman ako. Sige na, Good bye, See you later. Don't text while driving Love" Maine reminded him
"Yes po, See you later." Alden said and Maine dropped the call and went to the living room and played a music. While she was listening to Coldplay's songs, Dean sat by her side
"Oh, anong kailangan mo?" Maine asked his brother
"Grabe siya sa akin! Tumabi lang ako sayo, may kailangan na agad? Hindi ba pwedeng maglalambing lang?" Dean said defensively
"Ikaw? Maglalambing? Anong nakain mo?" Maine joked
"Sige, wag na lang aalis na nga ako" Dean said as he stands from the couch.
"Uy! Joke lang naman." Dean's face lit up and faced his sister
"Talaga?"
"Oo nga! Upo na" Dean now sat and hugged her.
"Pinabantayan ka kasi sa akin ng boyfriend mo" Dean explained
"Oh, wag ka masyadong kiligin!" Dean teased
"Wow! Ako? Kikiligin?" Maine asked
"Oo, lagi naman!" Dean said
"Sabi ko nga, kinikilig nga ako diba?! Teka! Ano na naman ang pinangako sayo ni Tisoy at binantayan mo ako?" Maine asked in curiosity
"Wala." Dean plainly answered
"Wala? Seryoso, wala talaga?" Maine asked him again
"Wala nga! Bakit ba hindi ka naniniwala?"
"Eh lagi ka namang may hinihingi doon kapag may inuutos sa iyo" Maine explained
"Kasi, alam kong kailangan mo ako ngayon. Huwag mo na lang silang pansinin, tapos layuan mo na din yung 'friend' mo na iyon, lagi ka na lang pinapahamak eh." Dean said as he hugged Maine
"Ang drama mo!"
"Hayaan mo na minsan na nga lang ito. Kung alam mo lang talaga kung gaano na nag-aalala sayo sila Nanay sa Bulacan, si Daddy Bae nga tumawag pa kay Tatay para lang kamustahin ka!"
"Kaya, huwag ka nang umiyak. Nandito pa naman kami eh" Dean added. Maine just smiled and nod her head as he hugged Dean.
"Oh Kuya! Nandiyan ka na pala!" Dean greeted Alden.
"Thank you Dean" Alden said and did a man hug with Dean
"Ayos lang Kuya, pasok muna ako sa kwarto ah" Dean answered and walked towards his room. Once he is already inside, Maine went to Alden and hugged him.
"Ayos ka na?" Alden asked
"Yes po, gusto mo ng water?" Maine asked
"Yes please." Alden answered
"Sige, just sit there at the couch and I'll get you water." Maine ordered
"Can I come with you?" Alden asked and hugged Maine again
"Hayyy, why are you this clingy?" Maine asked as they went to the kitchen counter to get a glass of water.
"I miss you, hindi mo ba ako miss?" He asked and drink the water.
"Siyempre naman, miss na miss kita" Maine answered and faced Alden. Alden then steal a kiss from Maine.
"Huy! Bawal iyan!" Maine said as she poked Alden's dimple
"Bakit? May karapatan naman ako." Alden said defensively
"Wow! So kapag may karapatan, pwede na?" Maine asked still facing Alden
"Yep *kisses Maine's right cheek* Yep *kisses Maine's left cheek* Yep *kisses Maine's nose* and Yep *kisses Maine's lips*"
"Huy! Ang dami naman!" Maine demanded
"As I said–" Alden's sentence was cut by Maine
"May karapatan" Maine said. Alden then laugh and let out a sigh.
"I love you at ako lang ang may karapatan," Alden said and hugged Maine
"I know, I love you too at ako lang din ang may karapatan." Maine said while giggling.
"Wow! Territorial ang girlfriend ko ngayong araw!" Alden said as he holds Maine's hand and lead her to her room
"Ayaw mo ba?" Maine asked
"Siyempre gusto," Alden said and faces Maine.
"You know how much I love it diba?" He added. Maine only nods her head and sits down on her bed.
"Are you sure your now okay?" Alden asked
"A little bit," Maine stated and sighed
"Just cry and everything will gonna be fine," With that Maine's face was starting to fill with tears again. But unlike what happened lately, she can now feel that she will be complete with Alden by her side. Without knowing Maine slept while Alden by her side. Suddenly Alden's phone rings, so he answered it quickly as he saw the caller ID.
"Hello Nay, good afternoon po." Alden greeted
"Good afternoon din anak, kumusta na si Meng? Nasa condo ka ba niya?" Nanay Dub asked
"Tulog na po si Meng at opo nasa condo po ako ni Meng" Alden answered
"Ayos na ba siya?" Nananakit Dub asked
"Medyo ayos na po, dalawang beses na po siyang umiyak ngayong araw, pinagbawalan ko na rin po muna siyang magbukas ng social media." Alden stated.
"Mabuti pa nga, O siya sige na pauwi na rin kami ng Tatay niyo,"
"Ay Nay, pwede po bang dito muna ako matulog kahit ngayong araw lang." Alden asked
"Walang problema anak, tsaka hindi mo na din naman kailangang magpaalam kasi may tiwala na naman kami sa inyo." Nanay Dub said
"Salamat po Nay, ingat po kayo ni Tatay." Alden said
"Sige, salamat din sa pag-aalaga kay Menggay." Nanay Dub said and dropped the call. Alden just lay down back to bed again and said.
"Walang may karapatang manakit sayo. I love you, My Nicomaine at ako lang ang may karapatan."
