Chapter Five:
Revenge Just Takes Two Drops
Katrina laid in her bed, she couldn't fall asleep. She grabbed a book from her bedside table, taking her wand from a drawer.
"Lumos" She muttered, making the tip of her wand glow bright white.
She opened her book beginning to read. She let out a sigh. "Nox."
She couldn't read, her mind was far to cluttered. She got up from her bed walking around, trying to clear her muddled mind.
It was nearly four in the morning, nothing she did could help her fall asleep. Katrina sat down in a large armchair looking into the flameless fireplace. Her bight green eyes, brightened when she suddenly realized a simple solution. If she brewed s quick sleeping potion, she would go right to sleep! She jumped from her chair running to her trunk. she pushed through random school papers till she found what she was looking for, a small box that contained various potions ingredients.
A smile stretched across her tired features.
"Why didn't I think of this before?"
She opened the box pulling out what she needed before quickly hiding the box once more. Katrina laid out the ingredients in two neat groups, preparing to make the potion. She let out a sigh, beginning to work, remembering what her father taught her. After a half an hour of work the potion was complete! She poured the potion into a little glass vile, shaking it a bit. She hid her potions equipment under a blanket, pushing it behind her trunk.
With a pop of the cap she drank the potion, soon drifting off to sleep.
....
Katrina woke up, a mear three hours after she drank the potion. She let out a tired moan, she was in no mood to go to class, Transfiguration at that! She fell out of bed, slowly walking to the closet. Lazily she slipped on her robes, letting out another tired groan.
"Couldn't sleep could you?" said Pansy with a grin.
"No..." replied Katrina.
Pansy grinned even wider walking out of the dorm.
Katrina ran her fingers through her black hair looking into the mirror. She looked sickly pale and there were dark black circles around her eyes. She grimaced at her reflection, walking away from the mirror with a sour expression.
....
"Draco you should have seen her! She looked utterly terrible!" said Pansy, hanging on Malfoy.
Malfoy smiled lightly, "so you gave her the potion?"
"Yes, Just like you told me! slipped it into her pumpkin juice!" Boasted Pansy.
"Great..." said Malfoy halfheartedly.
...
Katrina sat down in her desk, receiving odd looks from a few Hufflepuffs. Her expression scared the group of Hufflepuffs, the look on her face reminding them too much of Professor Snape.
Professor Flitwick stood at the front of the class beginning his lesson.
"Today we will be starting a new lesson." Katrina at this point could care less about what he was about to say. She pulled out her notebook, jotting down the necessary notes before resting her head on the desktop.
She felt worse then the day before! Katrina let out a growl as the class let out, running out the door. What was wrong with her? She ran down to the dungeons down to his fathers office, bursting through the door.
