[Jia Ne's P.O.V.]

She stared at her screen feeling the surge of adrenaline creeping through her body. She has not felt this excited for a long time that she almost forgot how it felt like. The feeling was surreal!

She giggled...

Is that dope online? She thought.

Jia Ne hovered her cursor on the friendslist icon, typed his name in on the search bar, and tried to add him.

[System Notification: You added Awesome Chen to your friendslist.]

"Eh?" Her heart raced as she saw that familiar name in her list. She does not know what to feel at that moment. All she knew was that she somewhat missed that dope. He was her first friend after all.

She took a deep breath and looked at her monitor. She was taken aback when he sent her a private message a few seconds later.

She blinked her eyes a couple of times before opening it.

[Awesome Chen: Welcome to our Guild! If you need any help with about the game, please don't be shy and message any of us right away!]

Jia Ne's mood dropped. Her brows creased as she let out the breath she was unaware of holding. She laughed at her self as she shook her head.

"How crazy must I've been for thinking that he might have recognized me?" she murmured.

A deep sigh escaped from her lips as her fingers danced its way on the keyboard.

[Mysterious Virgin: Thanks!]

She was about to close the chat box when a new message arrived.

[Awesome Chen: So... are you really a virgin?]

Jia Ne's jaw dropped as her chest started puffing in and out due to anger. She was baffled by the sudden question. She tried to calm her nerves as she knew the thought process of this dope.

[Mysterious Virgin: Was that question necessary?]

[Awesome Chen: Ah? No, I was just curious.]

[Mysterious Virgin: Curious about what?]

She lifted a brow as she was trying to read through his mind.

"Is puberty getting in his head that made him curious of those X-rated kinds of stuff or what?"

DING!

Hearing that familiar sound, her incoherent mind centered on his reply. She dawned her eyes on his message in anticipation, but its content jolted her.

Her fingers froze in place as she blinked a couple of times.

"Eh?"

[Awesome Chen: Well... I thought I was the only kind left in this world... Hello, there fellow virgin! Oh, by the way, I have to go. I am in the middle of a rank game. Talk to ya later!]

And with that, she was left there hanging.

"V-virgin?" Her mind went blank as she remembered her first encounter with that jerk of a seatmate of hers. The incident was crystal clear in her mind. Even that lingering sensation she felt on her skin remained. Her cheeks started to burn as she tried to divert her line of thought.

"Damn that moron, I'll make him pay!" she cursed under her breath.

Her mood turned glum but it dissipated. She looked at her arena ranking again and triumphed on her success. The satisfaction she felt was worthwhile. She was driven to keep on playing. But, her attention was interrupted by the banging sounds in the station next to hers. Her brows furrowed as she threw a sharp gaze at the guy occupying the area. His run sucked to the point that every word that escaped from his lips were curses.

He was so immersed that he became insensitive to his surroundings.

Seeing this, Jia Ne's interest was piqued. She glanced at his screen and understood why he's like that. It appeared that he's with a moronic teammate that kept dragging the team down. She averted her gaze back to her screen. She tried to tone down her brimming excitement. How she wished she was the one playing. That exhilarating feeling was topnotch. Nothing can compare to the satisfaction felt after turning a losing game around. Thus, snatching that victory.

Her lashes fluttered as she was fighting against the conflicting feeling she had. She then remembered that the dope was also playing a rank game.

"Could it be?" She made a sidelong glance and looked at the dude's screen again.

[System: Penta Kill!]

[System: You were killed by Awesome Chen.]

Her breathing ragged as she saw how the events unfolded before her eyes.

"It's them."

Her eyes flickered as she clenched her palms into fists.

It felt like she was drawn into the game and that she was the one playing. Her senses turned sharp to the point that she can perceive the settings inside the game. The landscapes and the clashing sounds of fighting were prominent. Her heart skipped a beat as she blurted out the words running through her mind.

"Retreat three steps and hide in the bushes."

"There should be a 5-second interval before your first and ultimate skills' cooldown. Delay movement for a second and make your successive combination: first- third- second-- move to your right, then activate your ultimate skill."

Her heart almost stopped when the dude missed the timing, and there she lost it...

"What the heck was that?!"

The tapping sound of the keyboard stopped as the guy glanced at her. Confusion was painted on his face, and that made her feel embarrassed.

"Excuse me?" he frowned.

Jia Ne choked on her own saliva not knowing how to come up with an answer about her behavior. She stood there petrified.

Jia Ne locked her eyes on his, but they were always drawn back to the game. She wanted to see how the game will end but because of the embarrassing thing she did, she might have to leave.

"D-don't you need to focus in the game f-first?" She lowered her gaze but then darted them back on the guy and saw that a friend of his was whispering something to him. His hands stopped moving as he made a sidelong glance at her.

"You-- You know how to play this game?" he asked.

She gulped a mouthful of saliva as she remained silent indicating a tacit agreement.

The creases on his brows smoothed. Then a slight smile flashed on his face as he pointed a finger to the guy one station away from his.

"Then... can you substitute that guy over there and play with us?"

Her eyes widened in disbelief as her wish was granted.

"Eh? Me?" She pointed at herself.
