She was bound,

Not by constraints

But by her thoughts,

Her subconscious fears

Traveled inland,

Her gracious ways

Traveled to open oceans.

The sinking sand,

Had her captured

For she could not move.

All her worries came true

Her nightmares awoke,

Her demons crawled into the light,

Her skeletons hung from the rafters.

She could not see,

For she was blinded

By the darkness,

BY the silence,

By the solitude.

If ignorance is bliss

What is emptiness?
