It just happened there was no warning,no broadcast,no nothing. The apocalypse was something you don't want to mess with. I'm Kalista but you can call me Kat for short. I've been living in the zombie apocalypse for almost 5 months now. Many accidents happened..Cuts here, blood there, you know the usual. I wouldn't technically call my self a bad a** but I guess I could be one.
Like everyone else I had a family. A Mom,Dad and my Best friend Kacey white who is basically my sister and i prefer to call her white. They cared about me loved me and did whatever they could to make me happy. I was out playing with my friends when we heard a car crash into a tree. My dad was a medic so he went to go see if anyone was hurt, the only one that got hurt was him for getting bit by those rabid beast.
It wasn't long before everyone I knew disappeared.
Everyone was rotting and their flesh was peeling off slowly. They had a horrible smell of rotten flesh you just couldn't imagine how horrible it was.
Time went along and I guess you just kinda of get used to it. The smell was still there but it wasn't as bad as in the beginning. That goes for the looks too. They were horrifying to look at ,like I said time went on not so bad anymore.
You're probably wondering about who I was in the past. To start off my name is Kalista I'm 22 years old and I was a detective before any of the chaos started to happen.
Working as a detective was difficult at times. We had to deal with things like this ,let's ya say people did a lot of drugs and started to eat people without even knowing what they did.
To describe me looks I have long brown hair with brown eyes. About 5'3 don't weight much. I wear a black tank-top but a skull in the middle that's faded white around it with dieing flowers, Ripped skinny jeans I got breaking into a store,Black leather Combat Boots, last but not least I have a compass tattoo on the back of my right hand and a tribal tattoo on the upper left back.
Life living in the apocalypse isn't that bad. I mean if you ignore the flesh eaters everywhere it wouldn't be too bad. One of the hardest parts of living here is shelter and food. I once had to eat a dead rat too survive. He did taste a bit good. Finding the perfect place to crash is hard, you never know what could be in one room and who could be in another. Just to let you know if this ever happens to you and your walking in my boots just remember, whatever you do... Trust No One!!
