We packed up and left after that. Kyra was such a mess there was no use in staying. We were all pissed enough to do some serious damage.
"Jesus Lacey, are you trying to kill us?" Aiden shouted.
I pulled up in front of Piper's, "Are you sure your okay Lace?"
I nodded and peeled off.
"Oh my god, I'm gonna die," Aiden moaned.
I gripped the steering wheel harder and turned a sharp curve.
"Oh my god!!!"
I pulled into Aiden's driveway," Lacey I really think I should drive you..."
I glared at him, "get out."
I could tell that he was worried as he climbed out of the car. He could be like an older brother sometimes. I speed back to the house. I angrily slammed the door and stormed into the house.
"Whoa where's the fire, Lace?"My dad asked concerned.
I brushed past him into my room. I grabbed the nearest pillow and screamed my head off.
I heard a knock at my door, "Lacey?"
"Come in mom."
"Baby are you alright?"
"No."
'Well tell me what happened."
My mom came over and sat down beside me and rubbed my back as I told her my story.
"Isn't Heather the girl you used to hang with?"
"Yeah until she became a total backstabbing bitch and told my crush I had a weird voodoo shrine of him."
As shocking as it was Piper, Heather, and I used to be best friends in elementary. We spend endless hours in Heather's backyard. When we got to middle school she started changing and started referring to us as 'emo freaks' and spreading rumors that Piper was a lesbian(for the record she's bi) and we tried to brain wash her. Then we met Kyra and James and the rest is history. I guess when your little labels don't matter.
"Mom, I'm so sick of people dissing me and my friends because of the way we dress."
"Oh honey," my mom hugged me tightly, "You can't change how people think you can only be you and if they don't like it screw them."
I smiled through my tears," Mom, I love you."
"I love you, too."
We stayed hugged together until Shadow came and scratched at the door. I opened the door and hugged my little puppy," Hey girl, I missed you."
She licked my face in response. Rave and Muse peeked around the corner," Is it safe?"
'You freaks! You sent the dog to do your dirty work," I laughed.
"Ummm, were not freaks," Muse said arms crossed," we prefer the term friggin' awesome." We all laughed again.
"What's this? All my girls are happy again."
I nodded.
"Wonderful, why don't we go out to eat tonight?"
"Wahoo!" Rave and Muse cheered.
I checked my phone when I got home and saw messages from Piper and Aiden, but I decided I'd talk to them in the morning I was tired. I slipped on a white cotton tank and black sweats and fell asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow.
"Can't call me back?" Piper asked as I closed my locker.
"I'm sorry." I adjusted my oversized black Twilight shirt. I had paired it with black and white striped leggings, combat books, and skull hair bows that held my hair in two even pig tails.
"Like my look?" I twirled.
"Why all dressed up?"
"No reason just wanted to look good."
Piper raised an eyebrow," You're up to something."
I batted my eyes and did my best Scarlett O'Hara impression," Lil' old' me?"
"Yes, you."
"Hey look there they are?"
"Where I don't see James or Kyra."
"No, the Diamonds."
The Diamonds were a group of elite popular girls. They had the same power as Heather and her cronies, but they were a lot classier. Plus they hated Heather which made them a million times cooler. Rumor has it Heather stole Daniel from Tameka. They were lead by Tameka Ray. Tameka was a senior and the perfect explanation of a beautiful high class brunette. She had a 4.0 gpa and was president of the school, debate team, and yearbook club. To get the Diamonds approval you had to get through her. Second in command was Kylie Leigh. Kylie was the social butterfly of the group. The red head was absolutely a drama queen and on many occasions there was a rumor going around that she had been kick out of the group. Then lastly it there was Mikila Dash, Brenda Prescott, and Kiwi Barns.
"I'll see you later Piper."
"What?"
I hurried over to the girls. They were standing by one of their lockers sipping on their Starbucks drinks.
"Hey," I said nervously standing in front of Tameka
I could feel her eyes looking me up and down," Hello, Lacey? Is it."
"Nice hair bows," Kylie commented smiling.
"Thanks,' I grinned, "I need a favor."
Tameka raised an arched eyebrow, "yes?"
"Well..."
"Spit it out already,"
"I wanna run for homecoming queen and I want you to sponsor me."
Kiwi nearly choked on her drink, "you what?"
I blushed, "I wanna be the homecoming queen."
"I'm sorry, but Diamonds don't participate in those activities."
"But you wouldn't have to do anything just show me what to do and stuff I'd do it myself, but I have no idea where to begin."
Tameka looked interested, "What would be in it for us?"
"The complete demise of Heather Atkins."
"Meet us tomorrow at 3 in front of the school."
