Baker Street. Now -SH

Sorry I can't. Shift ends at 5:30.-JW

I don't care John. Now.-SH

Excuse you, mister, but I actually need to keep this job.-JW

We have a case: triple homicide with no murder weapon and all three victims are missing their eyes. Multiple stab wounds in the arms and legs. -SH

Don't care.-JW

EYES John. It was personal.-SH

Oh come on John, it's no fun when you're not there. -SH

I'm sure you can manage-JW

John. Come on. Please?-SH

Ugh. It's like I'm dealing with a child.-JW

This child is very Stubborn and will not take no for an answer.-SH

He's a dick, that's what he is.-JW

I'm sure he's going to pretend like he didn't hear that -SH

Whatever.-JW

Sarah will not be pleased.-JW

Who cares about her? Honestly, John do make better choices in your sex life. Pick someone who actually had common decency and isn't a babbling idiot. Like me.-SH

I am going to pretend I didn't read that. Anyway getting a cab.-JW

Good.-SH

God, why are you so manipulative?-JW

Hmm. It's not that I'm manipulative; it's the fact that you'll go along with me anyways. I don't see why you try to defend work and Sarah, when you know you want to come. Yeah I'm manipulative, but I'm not manipulating you, I'm showing you what your subconscious already wants.-SH

Huh. I never thought about that way.-JW

That's because you're an idiot.-SH

So are you-JW

[few minutes later, John enters 221B]

"I'm here, where are we going?"

John says as he stalks up the stairs into the living room. As per usual, the smiley faced wall is consumed by newspapers and tacks that showed where each victim lived, and where they frequented. He smiled.

"Hatch End. Come along John!" Sherlock jumped from his chair and grasped Johns wrist, pulling him down the stairs and onto the sidewalk. He couldn't really tell, but there was an unmistakeable jump in Johns pulse when he grabbed him. He let go immediately, not letting his hopes high.

With his remarkable taxi calling skills, Sherlock and John were in a cab and half way to Hatch End in 6 minutes.

"Why such a gruesome murder out here in the suburbs?" John asked frowning.

"Who knows? Someone probably couldn't live a life of domesticity. Need excitement? no, to you're right. Too gruesome. Revenge most likely. All though, if their eyes were missing, could be a message. Maybe they witnessed somethi....

Thursday March 13 1:06 am

[221B John and Sherlock enter]

John couldn't keep his eyes open at all. They would focus on something, usually Sherlock and then drift down until they closed all the way.

Sherlock himself was tired but only the occasional yawn. He and John sat in the couch, the adrenaline slowly resolving.

The two men were tired from the case. Turned out the three victims were all cheating on their spouses with each other. Mrs. Harley, former wife of Mr. Harley, made the man spill the metaphorical beans and instead of taking this to the lawyers, took it in her own hands. Last thing Mr. Harley said to her was 'I never want to see you again' and she made sure if that. Just a simple domestic murder.

Lost in thought, Sherlock didn't feel it when John fell asleep on him. He didn't feel a intake of breath from his lungs at the sudden hear, or Johns warm breath on his neck. He did hear all these things and at first he didn't no what to do. John was still leaning on him so he carefully wrapped an arm around Johns back and laid down so they could sleep as comfortably as possible on the couch.

John was straddling Sherlock, lost in his dreams while Sherlock petted his hair and rubbed his back. It was unexpected, sure but the best sleep that Sherlock could remember.
