Preface

Having been born in Houston, TX, on Friday, February 28, 1992; I have always been a long-time geek, and strong passion for computers, technology, space exploration, solar system research, and whatever is predicted to happen over the next three hundred years in the future. Whether I am alive during then, or not is of no concern to me. I started writing poems and short stories, in the real science-science fiction/virtual-futuristic romance/thriller genre, as Apple Loving Individual in 2013, because I carried feelings for someone in my heart back then. I eventually got married in December 2014 to a girl from Karachi, Pakistan where my parents originally hailed from. As per her suggestion, my first short story which was written by me in 2017 and later published on Wattpad in September, was titled Ambiguous Determination!

However, fate had different plans and me her separated for good in March 2018. So, I went ahead and continued to do well in college, having achieved my AAS (Associate of Applied Sciences) in IT Security in December 2016, from San Jacinto College followed by my BAS (Bachelor of Applied Sciences) in Information Technology from University of Houston – Clear Lake in May 2019. Although I graduated from Manvel High School in 2010, it took me nine years to finish college as I was taking my time, with two or three classes a semester. I wrote two indirect sequels to Ambiguous Determination in 2018, entitled Speed Through The Ghetto and Long Distances Become Small, respectively. The latter was named after my first original poem ever! This is my first space opera, based on the 2017 poem of the same name! Unlike the poem, which was set in the year 2376, on a terraformed Mars; this piece is set two hundred years earlier on Mars, which is still in the terraforming process. It is a love story, but set in a future, based in realism like all my other works. Even if these works of mine, do not become a massive success; at least I can work hard in my field of Information Technology in IT Security and Network Administration as I continue to write on the side.

Having to do a lot of research on Mars and the twenty-second century was painstaking, but in the end all of it paid off, and as Apple Loving Individual, I know my work will mean something to people one day, even if not during my existence. Without further ado, let us take a trip to Kanzen City, Korolev Crater, Mars and start The Summit Beyond Our Galaxy, based on the 2017 poem of the same name!
