"This isn't a date." I stated as Neptune continued to drag me through the city. "You want it to be. No I don't!"

"I can tell you want this." Neptune winked, pulling me tighter to her.

"Woah, this girl wants you bro." I smiled. I immediately retaliated with a frown. "Shut up Burtrum! Haha!"

"Bri-Bri, you better say yes before I do things to emotionally hurt you!" Neptune threatened.

"Oof. No, she wouldn't. You sure? Of course, right Neptune?"

"I totally would." Neptune slyly smiled at me.

"I like this girlfriend of yours dude. She's funny." Burtrum said through me. I growled. Burtrum sighed. He then seemed to go silent. I could tell something was off. "Shit. What? Him. Him?"

My body forced itself to look to see rather good looking man. His nose stuck out and jutted downwards, like a witch. He wore athletic wear, and he had bulging muscles. He walked calmly up to Neptune, and started talking.

"Hey, you look like you're not around here." He smiled, leaning in close. I could feel myself making a fist. Burtrum and I both. "Need a strong man to show you around?"

"I do, thank you." Neptune said. She wasn't this oblivious, was she?

"Strange, I don't see one?" He said, avoiding looking at me.

"Well, it's this guy, obviously." She said. "He's my boyfriend."

"We aren't dating." I said. "You have nerve talking to her like that." Burtrum had joined in, clearly not enjoying the company of this guy.

"He says you two aren't," the lad looks back at Neptune. "I'm Mason, what's your name?"

"I'm Neptune, and it's nice to meet you." She shook his hand. His finger slowly slid against her hand. My body was doing everything possible to not lunge at this guy. He disrespected me. That was the reason I was upset.

"Say, Neptune, let this guy figure things out, and I can show you around." Mason offered.

"I don't know if-" Neptune began.

"Go, I don't care." Burtrum said. I was then speechless.

"But, Bri-" Neptune drifted off as Mason started to show her around, hands still connected.

"Burtrum. What. The. Fuck." I said. "You need some time to think. No I don't. Then why do I still have control of your body? Shut up. No, I'm right. What's wrong? You still love Neptune don't you? ... Right? I don't know. I do, I mean, but I just can't. Remember, remember...? I don't like saying the name either." My heart started to sting. "My fault. Our fault. Mine. Don't beat yourself up for it Brian. It happened, and it's in the past." I looked around, but no longer saw the pink haired goddess.

I guess I had no choice but to think.

(Neptune's P.O.V.)

Mason guided me around the city. I pretended to pay attention. My focus was figuring out why Brian flipped out. It wasn't long before I snapped back, unaware of our surroundings.

"Are we lost?" I interrupted Mason's speech.

"Haven't you been listening?" Mason asked. I shrugged. He let out a long sigh. "We're next to the Misty Woods."

"Creepy." I commented.

"Romantic, really." Mason countered. I raised an eyebrow at him as he smiled.

"If only Brian was here." I frowned.

"What's your deal with him?" Mason inquired.

"He's the best. I'm gonna marry him." I heard Mason scoff.

"He didn't seem interested in you."

"He is. I know it. He's just shy."

"Riiight." Mason quietly said.

"Why? How can you tell?" I asked.

"Oh, so figuring it out?"

"Oh, no. I don't doubt myself. I don't doubt Brian. I doubt you."

"He said it himself. He said you weren't dating, and asked you to leave. With me."

"Um, he didn't mean that." Neptune said.

"How do you know?"

"Brian has the ability to tell if people are lying. So I learned it."

"How."

"You guess and hope your right." I laughed. Mason cracked a smile.

"You're cute."

"Ughhh." I groaned. "Stop moping around. I'mma be doping around here in a second." I constantly back talked Burtrum. "Why do you keep talking over me? La la la la! You're behavior is unacceptable! Oh, shut up. You seem to be ignoring that you still have feelings for Neptune. What if I do? She'll be killed! You are stronger than last time! Ratio killed her. And me. I'm not strong enough. You haven't lost a single fight since Ratio, and your power since last time has grown. Sure, your energy is low, but that's after how many days of nonstop studying, eating, and preparing? About fifteen. Over two weeks? Yeah. Your energy is quite high after that long! I'm a green guy; I am energy efficient!"

What is going on? Why do I feel like my body is being stretched everywhere? I feel torn, split. I felt a division. My mind was noisy. Silence around me deafening. My thinking felt lopsided. All logic, all topsy-turvy. Could I protect Neptune?

NYAAASSSSSS!!!

What. The. Hell?

"Who was that?" Burtrum asked. "I don't know. Well, he's gotta be a soul of yours right? I don't know!"

Who was in me? Who could possibly control me? Was it a soul? I couldn't tell.

All I could feel was sheer power.

"Damn, another short chapter." Histoire mumbled. She gazed longingly at the TV. Wait, book. Wait, picture book. No.

Better.

A pop up book with finger puppets.

The best.
