“Wow”, is the first word that comes out of Freya’s mouth after she steps inside my apartment.

“What?” I ask as I close the door behind me.

“I don’t know. I’ve always thought that people like you would live, like, in some outrageously fancy apartments.”

“Are you saying that my apartment is not fancy enough?”

Freya giggles. “God, no. This looks really great. No kidding. But you know what I meant! ”

“Yeah, I know. Are you hungry?” I ask, heading to my kitchen.

“It depends.”

“On what?”

“What’d you have?”

I glance over my shoulder to see her giving me a cheeky smile. I open my refrigerator and start looking for something to eat only to find out that it’s almost empty. “Why don’t you look for yourself?”

Freya peeks into the fridge and quickly turns back to me, looking not so amused. “Ha ha, very funny Conor. How are you suppose to live with your fridge that empty, anyway?”

“I’ve kinda forgotten to go the grocery store…”

“In that case I think we should make a change for that, now shouldn’t we?”

“Only in one condition”, I say.

She sighs. “Okay, tell me.”

“If you’ll carry the shopping bags home”, I say grinning.

“Oh, you’re such a child”, Freya laughs. “Yeah, okay whatever.”

It doesn’t take long for us to be ready to get going to the grocery store that lies few blocks away from my home. We manage to put pretty much all sorts of stuff in the trolley and when we get to the point of paying our shopping, we start to think that we may have bought too much everything. So when we have three shopping bags to carry, I decide it would be cruel to let Freya carry them all. I try to act like a gentleman and volunteer to carry two of the bags. She seems relieved and happy about that, which makes me happy. Don’t know why, but it does.

When we get back to my apartment Freya lets me to empty the bags all by myself and goes to sit on my laptop which is on the top of my keyboard.

“Why do I have to empty these all alone?” I complain.

“It’s your fridge and you’re going to eat most of the food so that's why”, she says defending.

“Just admit it; you’re lazy as a fuck”, I say teasing.

“No, I’m not. I’m even gonna put some background music, see?” she says and suddenly some song I’ve never heard before start playing. The singer’s voice sounds quite familiar, though.

“So who’s this?” I ask her.

“Ed Sheeran. He’s amazing, and actually he is one of my favourite artists”, says Freya with an adoring tone.

“I didn’t expect you to like this kinda music”, I say honestly. I finally finish the unpacking and go to sit on the black sofa in the living room.

“Actually I like a lot of different kinds of music. Mostly I listen to indie, but also dubstep and hiphop have a great place in my heart. But I mean of course there are some exceptions in other genres.”

“So you don’t listen to the mainstream pop and that kinda music?”

“Not really… All the songs they play on the radio sound pretty much the same. I don't like it.”
