The next day we attended a lesson in a classroom. The classroom was not too big, and a lot of the students were in different classes with different teachers. We sat on desks and around the class were different tables used for experimenting. I could see this because there were tubes on the tables. The teacher I had was Professor Turrolf. I looked around to see if I saw anyone familiar, and I managed to find Mitsu and Raiden on different corners of the class. I decided I should be listening to the lesson as to looking around.
"So class, to recap, who can tell me what the Sub-magics are?" Professor Turrolf asked.
Mitsu rose her hand and said, "Sub-magics are magic types that fall under the different magician categorize such as Wizard, Warlock, Mage and so on. Magics such as Pyromancy, would be a Sub-magic from the Mage category. Each human can only use one or two Sub-magics their entire life, however, immensely talented magicians have learned three from talent alone. These gifted ones as well as the Archmage can usually learn at least two different types of magic right when they begging their training. The difference is the Archmages have the ability to learn all of the hundreds of types of Sub-magics."
'Could I be one of the gifted mages or possibly the Archmage?" I thought to myself. I began to wonder why I was able to release that fire from before. It didn't add up. I decided it is best to forget about it for now.
"Excellent! Spot on! That pretty much concludes the lesson on Sub-magics. On a side note, I'd like to discuss the geography of the school. As many of you may know, we use portals to access the different areas around the school, but did you know that the school itself is in a different dimension? Created by the Archmage, the school is divided into the east wing, the west wing the north wing, the south wing and a seperate section where the Archmage resides. On the east side lie all of the different rooms you students sleep in, in the west are all of the classrooms, on the north is the teacher's living area and on the south are other rooms such as storage, kitchen, library, a meeting room for the Archmage, the check in room, that you saw when first entering the school, and lastly a assembly room where all mages meet up at the Archmage's request for when he wishes to give a presentation. The different wings and areas of the school lie in different sections of this massive dimension, and each side can be accessed by the portals in each wing. So in one wing it may be raining, but on another it could be sunny or snowy, quite unpredictable. The only one powerful to access this dimension on their own, is another Archmage, but we are beginning to doubt ever finding another Archmage. Since that has been dealt with, you are all dismissed." Professor Turrolf said, concluding the lesson.
As we were heading out he said, "You may either return to your rooms or practice your magic outside the school. Or you could just roam around the school, if that is what you wish. Make sure to be back here tomorrow at the same time for more lessons."
Looks like we are free to do what we want. On the way out I met up with with Mitsu and Raiden.
"So, what are you guys gonna do?" I asked
"hmm, I think I will meet up with my roommate, and we will hang out for the day." Mitsu replied.
"I'll probably continue practicing my Magic! What are you going to do?" Raiden asked me.
"Hm, I think I will wonder around the school, get used to the new scenery."
"Ah, well have fun both of you!" Mitsu said as she headed to the east wing via a portal.
"Well, see ya!" Raiden said, and headed outside the school via another portal.
I then wondered around the west wing which we were in, before heading towards the north. Each wing was basically a large hallway with about three floors. Made of stone bricks that had a magical property to them, because they were a blueish tone and were stronger then normal rocks.
