Teagan POV
Driving home was filled with horrid jokes and immature remarks but I needed to be back and with these people. I laid in the backseat. Literally laid. Shawn refused to let me lay in the back alone so I sprawled across his lap with my hands holding his.
Out of all the moments with Shawn that will come or have already passed, one of my favorites is when I knew he cared: when he was crying in front of me. As bad as that sounds, it made me realize how much I... Well I love him. But I can't tell him that can I? Surely not."Teagan." I look up to meet brown eyes.
"We're home, T. Can you um.. Get off of me?" He smirked as big as he possibly could.
"You're a dork." My mouth splurges before my mind thinks.
"Oh I'm the dork!" He tickles my sides which causes me to shriek.
I plead mercy with shaky breathes from his recent tickle attack.
"Are you done insulting me?" He towers over me in the grass outside of the car. My dad already ran inside at the site of any source of PDA.
"I don't know, why don't you ask your new crush!" I try to contain my laughter and he pulls me to the ground, nearly laying on top of me.
"Oh c'mon. You know she loved you, Shawn! Sandy likes you like she likes her bacon."
"And how would that be, Miss Teagan?" His ever so common smirk is present.
"Hot and Canadian." I squeal at my own joke while Shawn just sits there and facepalms.
"Need I remind you that I'm the one on top of you and I could just... Whoops!"
He drops on top of me completely on purpose and I struggle to shake him off."Shawn... I can't.. Breathe... Get off." I was laughing too hard to struggle anymore.
He rolls off but not completely. He paused just above my face and leaned down to kiss me. He was perfect. This was perfect. It's all so perfect.
"So, Teagan."
"Yeah?" We were still laying in the grass side by side.
"What do you call a short buffalo?"
"I don't kn--"
"BUFFA-LOW!" He busts out laughing and holding his stomach.
"Get it? Because Buffa then low!" He's laughing even harder now while I sit here with a smile at the site of a 15 year old boy laughing like a 10 year old.
When he stops his laugh rampage he asks another question.
"When is your birthday?"
"July 8th. Why? When's yours?"
"August 8th. I'll be 16."
"Well by the way you were acting just now, id say you're turning 11!"
We laugh at the joke while my mind recaps on every single moment with Shawn. The moment I met him. The walk. The roller coaster park. The twitter feed. The bathroom. The hospital. Now. It's just so unreal how this light can save someone from the darkest of days. I love it. I love this buffalo.
