For the third morning in a row, the alarm went off at 4 o'clock. Casey was already becoming used to this, so she merely rolled over in the bed and sunk back into slumber. Brandon got up from the bed in an uneager manner to get ready for busy day to come. No matter how much you were getting paid to shoot a film in Paris, it wasn't enough to make the sleep deprivation worth it, at least that's how he saw it. Still half-awake, Casey felt her boyfriend's arms wrap around her to say goodbye.
"I should be back by evening. They don't need me for that many scenes today. Just need to oversee some stuff." he said, kissing Casey on the cheek.
"Okay, have a good day. Love you," Casey replied softly, giving Brandon's arm a squeeze.
"Love you too," Brandon said, releasing his girlfriend and departing their enormous suite. Casey opened her eyes a bit to look at the emptiness next to her in the bed. Not wanting to be reminded that she was once again alone, she closed her eyes and went back to sleep.
The bit of light streaming through the curtains was enough to wake Casey up for the second time that day. She rolled over to look at the time, which showed to be 11 o'clock. Normally she wouldn't like to sleep in so late, but when you're stuck in a hotel all day, there's not much to be missing out on. There was no room for a pity party though, Casey chose to do this. She chose to come abroad to France with her A-lister boyfriend who was due to film a movie here. So far, they were on day six of thirty. With nothing to really do in the city of love by yourself, Casey spent most of her time in her hotel suite. She found some French shows on the television that kept her company. She had also been making use of room service, and finally got the name of the waiter she kept getting. Casey saw that as progress.
After getting out of bed, Casey went to go open the curtains of the large windows in her bedroom. It was a nice day outside, too pretty to spend just surrounded by four walls. An avid lover of laying out, Casey decided to put on a bikini and go to the outside pool. She threw a cover up on and grabbed a bag before leaving the suite to go out. Once outside by the pool, she found a lounge chair to put her things by, tied up her long brunette hair, and began tanning. Casey already had a very slight tan to her, but she didn't mind getting more. There weren't many people out today, which Casey was fine with. It's not because she thought that people would recognize her, Casey wasn't even notable enough for that. She was only known for being Brandon Miller's girlfriend. It was just that Casey wasn't much of a people person in general. She was more of an introvert and preferred to keep more to herself, despite the lifestyle she lived.
Even though she was more on the introverted side, Casey did long to have a companion with her during these lonely times. This was her first time accompanying Brandon on a shoot, and she didn't think it was going to be this time consuming for him. However, this time he was also producing the film along with starring in it, so she should have seen this coming. In the two years they have dated, Brandon had only made two other films, and both films were before him and Casey officially moved in together. So, Casey didn't have any idea of what this time would entail.
Wanting to move around, Casey got up from the lounge chair and went into the pool. She waded in the water and made her way to the swim up bar, hoping for some interaction with the bartender, even if it was just for a moment. The bartender was a man who appeared to be in his early thirties, and he flashed a grin showing pearly white teeth.
"What may I get you today?" he spoke to Casey in English.
"Hi," Casey said smiling. "I'll have a mojito for now, please."
"Of course," the bartender said, and began making Casey her drink. "Which room number would you like for me to put it on, mademoiselle?" he asked.
