Mehek Sharma sighed heavily as she stared at her Aunt. Who was sitting near the window, "Why are you sitting here?" She asked peaking over her shoulder to see what she was looking at.

"You should not be here" She said with a sad look on her face.

"Oh please Chachiji not this again" She said neatening the room.

"You should be free. Your youth is being wasted looking after me" Her aunt said. She looked paler than usual. Mehek noticed. She would make something special for supper that would bring the color back into her cheeks.

"I am free. I can go wherever I want. And the only place I want to be is with you" She told her kissing her cheek.

"Now take these medicines quickly and have a nap. The weather is nice outside we can have supper" Mehek told her.

"Mehek promise me something. When I die. Don't stay here. Go see the world do everything you wish to do. Don't be like me. I don't want you to have regrets. Listen to this" She said taking her hand and putting it over her heart. "Not this. This confuses us" She said touching her head. She sat on the bed and smiled.

"I promise" Mehek said. Going out the room.

1 month later.

Mehek felt the car rumble. She winced.

As the engine cut off. The road was empty.

Fog covered the air. Making it impossible to see anything.

She pulled out her phone and almost cried.

There was no signal.

She could not just stay here either.

"Shiv ji please protect me" She said. She took her handbag and put it around her.

She exited her car.

She winced at every sound. It was rather dark out. She did not know why she had decided that today of all days she would leave. Drive the whole night. She had forgotten to check if the tank was full of gas.

Chachiji was probably regretting giving her permission to go. It had been a month since she had died. But the ache in her chest whenever she thought of her Aunt made her eyes water.

For the past month. She had done everything she could to try and move away from her grief when earlier today she had remembered her when she looked out of the window. Her aunt had wanted her to live out. Not in some house looking outside at life as it went by.

Mehek walked towards a north direction. But after a while she felt as though she was just walking in circles. The road was so quiet. That there was nobody on it.

To her immense luck. It began to rain. At first soft little drops, became huge icy pellets that attacked her.

Today seemed like the most lucky day for her. She sighed and shook her head.
