Date Night: Part 1

Chapter five: Date Night

      I'm so excited. Today was Saturday, which meant date night!

       Leo said that he wanted me to dress casual, but what type of casual? Dressy casual or like digging in mud casual?

      Oh gods, I'm freaking out. What if after our date he decides he doesnt like me? What are we going to do? Gods....

“Hey, are you alright?" a voice asked.

“I've been better. Hey, are you Percy's girlfriend?" I questioned

“Yes, I'm Annabeth. I've been away for a while, but I'm back now."

     Well that explains why she was never here.

" Hey Annabeth, I have a date tonight with Leo, can you help me get ready?" I asked shyly.

"Of course I will! Do you know what you're giong to do?"

"No, he said it was a surprise."

“Alright, I'll try to see what it is so I can help you dress up!"

      Annabeth and I spent the rest of the day preparing me for my date in her cabin. Turns out, she was extremely fun to hang out with. We bonded over fighting and annoying Percy.

Did you know that she has the prettiest hair? I wish I had her blonde hair. Its so silky and soft and OMG I SHOULD DYE MY HAIR BLONDE! IT'LL BE SOOOOO CUTE! I'LL DYE THE ENDS AND-

“Hey! Penelope!" I heard suddenly.

“What?" I asked.

“ I've been trying to get your attention for the longest time! Anyway, Leo is here!" she squealed.

“Omg! I'm so nervous. What if he decides I'm not good enough? What if-" I was cut off.

“Hey! he asked you out, right? If he liked you enough to do that, than you should be fine. Besides, you are absolutely beautiful and funny. You have nothing to worry about."

“Thanks Annabeth. Alright, here I go!"

      I opened the door to see Leo with flowers in his hands.

“Awe, Leo! You didn't have to bring flowers!" I took the flowers from his hand and gave them to Annabeth.

“I, uh, wow Penni. You look absolutely amazing!"

“Thanks." I blushed. PULL IT TOGETHER PENNI!

“Hey Valdez! She has to back by ten o clock, not a second later. If she has one hair out of place I will chop of your balls. AND tell Percy! Keep your hands to yourself! She is a  lady!" Annabeth ranted.

“Okay, Annabeth chill!" I said completely embarrassed.

“Bye! Have fun! But not too much fun." she laughed.

“Whatever! Come on Leo! Let's go!"
