Karma stood alone, gazing over the pier and waiting for Okuda to arrive. It was a warm, sunny afternoon with no clouds in the sky. The sun glistened off the water, casting an almost magical glow across the beach. Despite the brightness, the air smelled fresh and clean, with only the scent of nature lingering nearby. While waiting for Okuda to arrive, he could hear his classmate having fun and playing on the beach. He smiled when he saw Okuda further down the pier; with a grin, he called, "Okuda, "His voice was smooth and clear, sending shivers up the young girl's spine. Okuda quickly turned around, blushing, "Karma," she giggled, "You're so handsome today!" Karma smiled and replied, "You too," he paused, "Are you ready?" Okuda nodded in reply." Let's go then!" And with that, Karma led them away toward the direction of the sea, which he knew would be their best spot. They walked down the pier and sat on one of the rocks overlooking the serene beach. Karma looked out at the ocean, watching waves roll in and recede, as he sighed in contentment. Okuda sat beside him, resting her head against his shoulder. They watched the waves and enjoyed one another's company until Okuda spoke, "Karma, what that?" Karma turned his head toward the cave she looked at. "Oh, that the locals say that the lair of a sea monster or something like that..." He replied; Okuda looked at Karma curiously, tilting her head to one side, "Really," Okuda said with a smile, "It seems so unreal." Karma looked back at the ocean, saying, "Unreal has a yellow octopus teacher who plans to destroy the world if we don't kill him." Karma laughed softly. Okuda laughed along, "True, I guess," Okuda mused, looking back up at the sky, "And besides, We will have to go back home to Kunugigaoka soon, so let's just enjoy the time we have."
As they sat there enjoying the calm and peaceful atmosphere of the beach, the sound of footsteps caught their attention. They glanced over to see a Nagisa and Kayano walking toward them. Nagisa and Kayano stopped in front of them, smiling. "Ah, welcome!" Karma greeted, "Did you come here to watch the view too?" Nagisa smiled and replied, "No, we were looking for you guys. It's dinner time," Nagisa pointed at a restaurant just beyond the pier. As Karma stood, he grabbed Okuda's hand, pulling her toward the restaurant. They saw their classmates crowded together and excitedly chatting as they entered the restaurant. Karma glanced at Okuda, noticing how red her cheeks were as she tried hard not to blush. He smiled reassuringly and squeezed her hand before letting go and sitting beside Kayano.
Okuda sat between Nagisa and Karma as they began to talk about how they would kill Korosensei once they got home. "How are we going to do this?" Nagisa asked Karma, "All our other plans have failed. We'll need lots of strength...and we must be smart about it." Karma shrugged and replied, "We'll probably think of some way to take advantage of the situation." They all chatted happily as they ate and waited for dinner to end. They left the restaurant with smiles on their faces. While walking to the hotel, Karma asked, "Do you wanna hang out when we return home ?" Okuda blushed and stammered, "Y..y..yeah, I think I'd like that." Karma grinned slightly, knowing he won but kept quiet as they walked to the hotel. When they returned to the hotel before they went their separate ways for the night, Karma leaned into Okuda's ear and whispered, "I'll be waiting for you tomorrow morning" Then he kissed her cheek. Okuda blushed, stuttering, "M..m..me too" She hurriedly returned to her room, and he headed to his room, where his roommate was waiting for him. Karma took a deep breath, feeling strangely happy as he entered his room. He changed into his pajamas and climbed into bed, still thinking about his wonderful evening with Okuda. She's so cute, yet dangerous simultaneously. It was almost unbelievable...he thought dreamily as he fell asleep.
The next day, everything went smoothly, except that Korosensei managed to survive their assassination attempt before they when home. While on the boat ride back home, Okuda sat between Karma and Kayano. Okuda kept glancing toward him, feeling nervous and afraid he might notice something. Eventually, after a while, she felt comfortable enough to speak up, "Karma...can I ask you a question?" Karma raised an eyebrow at her and replied, "Yes?" "Well," she hesitated briefly before asking, "Why did you kiss me last night?" She averted her gaze, feeling embarrassed. Karma smiled at her, "That's because I wanted to," he said honestly. Okuda's eyes widened slightly in surprise, and she muttered, "But why?" Karma leaned forward, whispering in her ear, "Because I wanted to, and I liked kissing your soft lips," Okuda felt her face turn bright red and blushed even harder. Kayano smirked in amusement, and Karma winked at her. Okuda noticed and gave Kayano a playful glare, causing her to laugh. Nagisa overheard and grinned as he nudged Karma, "Hey, Karma~" He said teasingly, "You should ask Okuda out for a date!"
Karma smirked and replied, "I already did," Nagisa's eyes widened, and he gaped. Before he could say anything else, Karma said, "Don't tell her, though; I'm still planning to ask her myself." What?!" Nagisa exclaimed, "You didn't!" Karma merely smirked again, "I did," he teased, "Besides, it doesn't matter anyway..." Then he looked at Okuda and smiled gently. Okuda blushed, and Karma placed his arm around her shoulder, pulling her closer to him. As they reached the dock, Kayano pulled Nagisa aside, whispering loudly. "You owe me ten thousand yen now!" Nagisa laughed and shook his head, telling her he would give her the money on Monday. As they stepped onto the dock, Kayano looked at Karma and asked, "So did you get everything off your chest?
Did you get what you want?" Karma nodded, grinning widely, "Yeah!" Kayano chuckled in response, saying, "Good. You look happy," Nagisa joined in laughing and said, "You two are good for each other. I bet you'll make a perfect couple someday." Karma smiled and replied, "Thanks, Nagisa," then he gazed at Okuda and said, "Come on; let's meet the others." As they headed toward the train station, everyone chatted excitedly about how they had spent their vacation. Okuda listened carefully to their conversations, nodding in agreement occasionally. However, her mind continued to wander towards the events of yesterday. The way Karma stared at her last night, his expression sincere and kind...her heart swelled with happiness and joy. She wondered whether or not she had ever fallen for a boy this much before, perhaps, in her dreams, but never like this. Okuda smiled happily to herself, thinking of her first kiss with Karma. A small smile crept onto her face as she remembered their moment by the ocean.
As they rode the train, Kayano and Nagisa talked about their trip and their plan to help Karma. The three shared a brief conversation, discussing their strategy regarding the upcoming attack. Nagisa seemed eager to participate, and he kept looking over at Karma, who smiled and nodded in encouragement. When they arrived at their stop, Karma exited the train first, followed closely by Kayano. Once outside, the group separated. Okuda stood alone on the street corner as the others walked toward their homes. She called her parent to come to pick her up, but nobody answered. She stared absently at the ground, contemplating what to do next. Suddenly, a hand grasped her wrist, pulling her from her thoughts. Startled by this unexpected action, Okuda screamed and jumped, whirling around to find a grinning Karma.
Okuda glared at Karma and exclaimed, "You scared the crap out of me!" He laughed nervously, rubbing the back of his neck. "Sorry, Okuda, didn't mean to scare you," Karma apologized. Okuda smiled and replied, "Well, it wasn't your fault. I was distracted." Karma tilted his head, "Distracted from what?" He inquired. Okuda frowned at him, her face turning pink as she stuttered, "Uh, uh, well, my parents aren't answering their phone." Karma frowned. "Oh. Well then, let's walk home together, yeah?" Okuda nodded. After walking together through Tokyo, Heading straight towards Okuda's residence, they arrived at her door. They waved goodbye, and she turned to enter her apartment. She paused and turned, staring at him and saying, "Thank you for walking me home, and Goodnight, Karma. See you tomorrow." Karma nodded and replied, "Of course. Goodnight, Okuda." He watched until her door shut and then continued down the sidewalk. He sighed contently, thinking about last night. He couldn't believe how easily he could fall for someone like Okuda. But even if they weren't together right now, he knew they would eventually be together.
