The lost spirits

The spirit gathering

"Hey Hatsuki!" Sanko shouted excitedly as he waved rapidly and ran to catch up with her.
"Hey Sanko didn't see ya there, you ready for the spirit gathering?" Hatsuki asked as she altered her gaze to look at him."I'm super hyped but I'm also kinda worried about how many spirits are going to be there..." Sanko said as his wolf ears flattened at the thought, gnawing his chapped bottom lip as he fiddled with the hem of his t-shirt, Hatsuki swung her arm around his shoulders, her claws retracted, "come on buddy it's going to be fine" Hatsuki smiled gently, clasping his hand ,calming sankos  nerves. "Thanks Hatsuki," he smiled as a tinted pink blush scraped his cheeks and continued walking at a steady pace. Once they entered the spirit gathering they went off in different directions to go explore. "Woah this place looks awesome!" Hatsuki thought to herself as her face flooded with joy. She ran from stall to stall as fast as a lightning bolt, investigating every aspect of the delights in front of her.
Sanko stumbled around the gathering,his eyes averting in every direction apprehensively, his lip trembled as sweat started to pour down his face, ears perked to the sound of many threats. He whimpered as he got shoved while trying to get through the giant spirit crowd. "These spirit gatherings are always so overwhelming, Hatsuki, where are you when I need you most?!" Sanko thoughts panicked as he got carried in different directions. As Hatsuki ran through the crowd she bumped into Sanko and stumbled back, "ah! Sanko are you alright?!" Hatsuki knelt down to help him up, "you ok bud?" She smiled as her and him got up,
"I'm fine thanks, I just feel a bit dizzy is all" he smiled shakily ,
"Sanko lets go-" Hatsuki suddenly passed out,
"H-Hatsuki, Hatsuki! Su su! Are you- ow my head...don't worry I'll protect..you-" A wave of fatigue enveloped the young wolf boy as he collapsed on the ground, the face of his dearest friend fading from view.
