-Ruby's pov-
It was a boring day in class today Professor Port bored us all to death about weapons and such I was about to fall asleep after the door flew open and a (F/c) flash flew towards the chalk board and hit the board nearly breaking it I look over and see Miss Goodwitch very annoyed and fairly angry.
"If I catch you skipping again Mr (L/n) so help me!" She stormed off and as I look back towards the board I see one of my closest friends who was with me before I joined Beacon (Y/n), sure he was a bit rebellious but it would be boring if he wasn't here, he's cool and funny but a bit of a temper, probably growing up with six brothers made him like this, oh well.
"Owww!" He stood up holding his head and walked over to me to take his seat "Nice of you to finally show up Mr. (L/n)." He looked back annoyed with Port and he gave a sly smile "Oh yeah I just happend to get a 'Lifting speech' from Miss Goodwitch." The whole class started to laugh he continued to walk over to me and he took his seat.
"Was it a 'Splitting' decision,(Y/n)?" I asked him a little giggly he gave me one of his signature frowns where he show his sharp teeth, before I always wonder how he's got sharp teeth considering he's not a faunus.
"Yeah something like that." He sat down and kicked up his feet, thinking about it now I've never really talked or hung out with him in forever well that's about to change "Hey, (Y/n) I was wondering if you wanted to hang out later?" He looked at me and nooded his head I nearly screamed
"Maybe you need to lose some energy." He said a bit worried "Wanna have a race to your dorm after class?" Races we always had them usually me and him would use our Semblance's with me being a flying pettle of roses and him able to teleport over short distances we usually had ties but today is gonna be different.
"Yes!" Thinking about I never really told him how I feel about him since we met when we were just kids he's always been a older brother despite us being the same age he's just held that label I stuck on him but I wonder if he'll accept my feelings for him.

After class was over me and Ruby both warmed up and we both agreed that we both need to go around Beacon at least once in order for one of us to win this little race, and when we had races Yang was their to be the starting girl and she usually did good job hyping up pretend crowds but now there was real crowd each side filling the halls some holding signs rooting for Ruby,and some for me this is an actual race now.
"Are our contestants ready?" Yang asked in a announcer manner but we both said yes "YES!" Ruby squealed just be heard I simply nooded "Okay ready? Three.Two...One. Go!" As soon as she said go I was already down the hall leaving a (F/c) blur behind me I look back and see Ruby just starting her way down the hall. Now I'm starting to have fun.
We reached the cafeteria after a short amount of time I cut through through the big building dodging various people and obstacles having to vault or flip over them, I reached the end of the cafeteria and phased through the wall and caught up to Ruby "Hey, cheater!" She said when I passed her I look back and forth deciding what move to make next and I decide where we're going since I got the lead instead of going into Beacon I make a sharp left making us go around the massive building one more time. After nearly colliding into each other twice Ruby took the lead and pulled us into Beacon in the many hallways we had to reach the entrence then make our way back we kept going until we reached the entrence were we saw a massive crowd Ruby tried to slow down burning a bit of the welcome rug for new students I had to take the high route on this one I reached the top pillar and pushed off it and we both made our way back to Ruby's dorm. We both were coming close to the finish line we saw Yang trying to tell us to stop I looked up and saw Miss Goodwitch Ruby probably didn't see her, without thinking, I caught her while she was still using her semblance. Probably not the best idea it was like catching a bullet or a solid slug but I did catch her we rolled for a few seconds but in pain I let her go and she won I already knew it I got up holding my ribs and I touched one and it was loose Great. I saw Ruby shoot up and she did a little victory dance she stopped when she saw Goodwitch.
"I hope you two have a good explanation for this little charade!" Boy is she fuming she was about tell everyone to go about their business then Ozpin walked in on what could've been a large discipline session.
"Actually Glynda, punishing them won't be necessary I saw how this little event brought a little light of excitment for Beacon." He said and it looked like Miss Goodwitch couldn't comprehend what she heard stumbling over various words and stuttering. He looked over to me then Ruby and he just grinned "Ruby Rose is winner of the Beacon Speed race!" He announced everyone cheered me and Ruby just looked at each other confused. He then dismissed everyone to go on about their business leaving me and Ruby thinking the same thing "What the heck just happend, and did we just make something?"
After the Race Ruby invited me to her dorm where I saw Weiss,Blake,and Yang. Weiss was going off on how idiotic the race was but I didn't care I thought it was a cool and eventful, Blake told me how good I did well me and Ruby and Yang was busy counting money for the Race, Turns out she had people placing bets many of which were on Ruby not to surprise me or anything. Ruby pulled me out the room and into the bathroom and she kinda looked sad.
"Are you mad that I won?" She asked looking at me with those damn puppy eyes but I told her what happend when I caught her and how one of my Ribs are loose now. I should've left out the ribs because now she's panicking saying sorry over,and over again but I told her I'm fine and she seemed to calm down a bit, I just smiled at her concern.
"Hey (Y/n)?" She asked in her soft voice she only uses this one if she's sad,Scared, or emberresed about something I just asked what it was and she was almost starting to cry "(Y/n),I have feelings for you. Not like friends like-like. Love." And when she said that I didn't know what to do nervously I pulled her into a hug and told her I accepted her feelings not wanting to break her heart. I wiped away her tears and told her she can have me as a boyfriend now, she beamed excitment jumped around then she blushed when she stopped "Hey (Y/n) do you want to umm." She couldn't get out but she took a few breaths and let it out "doyouwannamaybeidon'tknowkiss!" After piecing it all together I told her yes and she got closer. What's funny is that she had to use her tippy toes just reach my lips and before they touched we both saw a flash of light from the door and we see the girls all nervously trying to get out and the same time and they all fell over each other "Well they kinda ruined it." She said annoyed but before she could say anything else I pecked her on the lips and almost instantly her face turned more red than her cape. I just chuckled waked over to a chair and started reading through my scroll.

After the whole cluster of events that happend today Ruby wanted me to stay in her dorm and sleep with her for the night I agreed and she started dancing as she make her over the washroom I saw Yang giving me a annoyed smile. Oh boy this'll be good.
"Look (Y/n) you and me are like brother and sister with Ruby, but now that you and my sister are you know. I just want to let you know you hurt her, I'll her hurt you okay?" I just smiled at her over all concern for this relationship but I'm going to give her a reassuring answer.
"Yang. For a time she was my sister too so I think I know what upsets her and what doesn't, alright?" She smiled and told me she was just testing me and how good I'll do dating Ruby, she pulled the covers over self and went to sleep then Ruby came outta the bathroom and went up on her bunk. I followed and plopped myself down beside her.
She began touching my ribs and pressed on the one that was loose "Sorry! I just wanted to know." I trailed my hand through her hair and told her to sleep. I couldn't sleep due to the fact Ruby was pressed up against me and her elbow was digging into my ribs I woke her up and pulled her on top of me where it was a little more comfortable and she fell asleep again this time I could get some shut eye too. "Goodnight little Rose." I told her before falling asleep with the Huntress.
