Hello my beasties, I'm back with another chapter of this little story that seems to be getting so much love from you wonderful darlings! In this chapter, we will be continuing after what had happened previously with you and Missi....

Memories that weren't your own flashed through your head as you struggled to awake from whatever trance you had fallen into since you had accidentally touched the cane that Missi always carried with her......

Just not too long ago, you had kissed the beautiful vampire girl for the first time and enjoyed it thoroughly, but now you were stuck watching memories that weren't your own due to a horrible accident.

You heard something through the blur of pain, it was a voice you were all too familiar with by now, it was quiet at first, but soon you began to hear it more clearly.

"Y/n...."

Finally opening your eyes you gasped sitting up in bed, breathing heavily as your vision came into focus. After a moment, you were able to clearly see Missi's worried face.

She looked tired, and there was worry etched across her pretty features. Her eyes brimmed with tears as she drew you close hugging you tight.

"You're alright...." She held you tightly, brushing a piece of hair away from your face.

After a moment, you spoke. "Can I have some water please." You had no idea how long you were out, but your mouth was very dry and it hurt when you swallowed.

Missi gave you a glass of water from the bedside table, which you accepted and drank gratefully.

After a moment, you spoke. "What happened to me?"

Missi answered nervously. "You just collapsed right there on the floor, I couldn't wake you up because you were out for almost a day. I don't know why you went into your trance like that...."

Then, she looked up, suddenly realizing something. "What did you see when you were in that trance? I could hear you muttering things."

Oh yeah, there was that.

Taking a deep breath, you hesitated before speaking. "I saw you, mostly." Missi's eyes widened and she motioned for you to continue. "You were human, and you entered this castle, looking for a safe place to spend the night. And then Duke found you."

Duke, the vampire in the portrait in the library. You didn't have much of a good opinion on him from some of the stuff you'd seen, but he was a very mysterious character for sure.

For example, the fact that he was the one who owned the cane before Missi was a point of interest, and the fact that you felt the mysterious presence watching everything throughout the memories.

What was the presence you kept feeling? It was like there was something..... No, from the laughter you had first heard, it was someone. Definitely another person. But who could it be? Did it have to do anything with the woman you had seen in your dream all those days ago?

"I saw all of that other stuff happen, all up to this moment right here...." Then, you noticed Missi had turned her face away, her shoulders shaking as if she was crying.

You moved to touch her shoulder. "Missi, are you alright?"

She turned back to you, tears glistening in her eyes. "No I'm not. Thanks to that night,  lost everything. My human life, my family, the ability to go out in the sun..... I've tried so hard to forget the events of that one night, and now hearing about it all over again, it just reminds me of everything I've lost....."

She sniffled and turned her face away, but you stopped her. "Missi, I didn't know how you felt. I'm sorry. I know I can't imagine what hurt you are going through, but I think I have an idea of that pain. I know all too well what it feels like to feel all alone in the world. But you haven't lost everything."
