"Now get to your computers and start the assignment please." Our professor says. I sigh and open my laptop.

"Is it just me or is he extra angry old man today?" Tom says quietly. I swat his arm and shake my head.

"Yeah but on Tuesdays he's usually extra grumpy." I say looking at Tom.  He smiles at me.

"What are you doing for yours?" He asks nodding his head towards my computer. I sigh and look at my blank screen. I shrug.

"I don't know yet. At least I have till Friday to get this done though," I say. I look at his computer. "What about you?" I ask. He lets out a sigh.

"I don't know babeee help me out." He whines putting his head on my shoulder. I laugh and shake my head.

"I've told you ideas before. Remember?" I ask raising my eyebrows. He lifts his head then looks at me blankly. His eyes grow wide and then he nods.

"Oooh yeah. You're right." He says. I roll my eyes and look back at my computer. I type my header and then chew on my lower lip. This is only a class/ homework assignment but I always feel like I need to do my best. If I half ass it he'll know. Somehow Tom always gets away with half assing it.

"Grayson said his roommate is throwing a party Friday you wanna go?" Tom asks resting his chin on my arm. I don't look away from my computer.

"Uh yeah. I'll just have to see if I have homework." I say nodding.

"What's going on with him and Chrissie by the way? Do you know what's up? I was talking to him last night and he was just talking my ear off about how they always argue about him..." I love Tom I really do but right now I kind of tune him out. I need to focus and Tom always makes sure I do the exact opposite.

I hear the door to the class open and I stay focused on my computer. Whoever's late is sure going to get an earful from Mr. Calvin. You can't be late to his class or you'll get kicked out almost immediately.

"Why are you just now getting here?" I hear him say. I smirk. What did I tell you?

"I couldn't find the classroom."

My heart stops. Literally I think it stops. I don't want to look up. I don't think I can physically look up right now. But my brain tells my body the completely different thing. So evidently I lift my gaze up and look to the front of the classroom.

And sure enough. There he stands.
