Raegan Miller was a normal boy, by normal people's standards. But he was nowhere near normal, actually, because he was born of witches and wizards. But they had to keep this a secret, of course, because what would people do or say to him if they knew he was a descendant of magical beings? But, as his eleventh birthday on August 20 was nearing, he was getting more and more excited, because on his birthday he would be receiving a letter from an owl stating he has been accepted into Ilvermorny School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. But let's skip all that, since we already know about that now.

On September first, him and his mother took plane to Massachusetts since they both live in Oklahoma. When they Landed, they had to drive to a wooded area. They reached a dirt path and had to walk all the way down to a clearing which took at least eighteen minutes, but the clearing lead to, you guessed it: Ilvermorny.

The beautiful castle stood on a mountain, which was surrounded by trees, and at the bottom there was a small creek with a bridge running across it. Raegan left his mother from there. There were people of all ages from 11-16 and at least 80 people in the large courtyard alone. He decided to go meet some of the first years to maybe make some new friends.

He walked to a trio, one of the people were a girl, she had green and blonde hair. She almost had an attitude similar to Nymphadora Tonks, as Raegan interpreted. The second was a boy, scrawny, but not scrawny. You would almost think he was a second or third year, he looked very mature.  The third was a girl, a bit large in size, but looked sophisticated and poised.  She must be a rich girl thought Raegan.

"Hi! I'm Raegan! I thought I would just come by to say hello, and maybe make some friends!" The first girl replied " hello! I'm Korynne, and this is Darryl, and Alexia. She prefers to be called Lexi though. And she's not as attitude-y as she looks,  it's just what she was taught."

The large front doors then opened to reveal a long corridor, and people started walking down it. The first years went last, as they do every year, and went into the great hall much later than every other year ahead of the firsts. They came to a stop in the middle of the room and there was a person at the front of the first year crowd, probably a teacher, by the looks of it.

There were stones of magical animals at the front, and when they chose a student they would do the signature thing they're known for doing. Skipping all the sorting to Raegan, he was chosen by thunderbird. He didn't feel all that great about it though. He felt something was going to happen in the school year. But he didn't want any negative thoughts intruding in the beginning of his first year, so he just pushed the thought away.

His three new friends were also chosen to Thunderbird, although korynne should have been chosen from pukwudgie, which is the American equivalent to hufflepuff. Once everyone got chosen and seated, the feast began. When everything was done, the 2nd-6th years went straight to their house's common room to congregate. The first years, however, were taken to their own place.

"First years this way!" Shouted the Thunderbird prefect. "I wonder what this year's gonna be like?" Raegan said to Korynne. Korynne replied, " Probably just like Harry Potter's was, only in America." " Seems logical. But we have Xylomancy, which is a different type of divination than just divination." Said Raegan.

They had gotten to the "wand shop," as you would call it, which was filled with shelves and shelves of wands of all kinds, and the boxes they were in ranged from all different lengths. Again, skipping to Reagan's wand, the wand that chose him was 15 inches, ash wood, and dragon heartstring.

Once all the wands were gotten, the first years were shown to their common room. Thunderbird's common room had blue and green lamps that seemed to float against the wall, and the layout was very similar to Slytherin's common room, but much less gloomy and dark. This common room was actually above ground and had windows as well. And since it was getting dark, Raegan decided to go to bed earlier than usual, because he needed to be well rested, for he had a very big and interesting day ahead of him.
