Dear Ashely,

It has come to my attention that you are ignoring me again. I understand our friendship has been drifting apart ever since the car accident, but I believe that you're being a little too harsh on the subject.  I heard that you're spreading rumors in school again.  Telling everyone that I- your bestfriend- tried to kill you. Deliberatly tried to kill you on the night of my 17th birthday. Even though, the car accident was clearly the result of a drunk driver running a red light on an intersection that I had just so happened to be crossing.

You, were not harmed, in any way, shape, or form. It was not you that spent a week in the hospital recovering from slight brain damage and a broken rib.  It was not you that then had to spend another week at home on bed rest. Who had pain every time they moved.  You received a minor headache and a broken pinky, for you didn't wear a seatbelt.

The day I returned to school, was the day I found out the lies you had spread.  The lies planted to make yourself sound so brave. So... Innocent.  When really,  it was neither of our faults. I am writing this letter, for you've blocked my number and my name on all forms of social media and I needed a way to get this message across to you and to clear up any misconceptions we had on our last encounter.

If I hear that you are spreading more lies about me and our accident, I will personally go to your house and gut you.  I don't care if your little bitch friend Destiny is there to protect you.  You know damn well I can break that whore's neck. And I'll come for you anyways.

Keep talking shit.  I'll find you and I will not hesitate to make you suffer. You want to go through a deliberate car accident that was meant to jeopardized  your life?  I can make that happen real quick. Keep testing me.

-Serenity.

Serenity dropped her pencil and folded the paper neatly as the bell rang signalling the end of her third period. Grabbing all of her stuff with a small grin she strolled out of her class with grace. She walked down the hall and turned a corner going to the opposite direction of her next class. Her mission was on and she needed to get her message across.  She felt the indents the pen made from writing so hard and she could imagine the look of fear on her now ex best friends face as she looks at the loopy cursive red ink that makes up the letter.

She makes it to the familiar locker with some simpatetic letters and pictures tapped onto it,  left on from the accident that happened December. It made Serenity scoff as she lifts some of the papers up a little bit to reveal the slots of the locker for ventilation and she slides the note in it. She looked around before moving away to make sure that nobody had paid attention to her act.

The rest of the day went by as normal, each class was filled with another useless lesson that never reached serenity's ears. She spent her classes day dreaming of the letter and the scenarios that could unfold from it.

"Seren," there was a snapping in her face.  "Hey, serenity. You're drifting again come back to us" a voice pulled her away from her thoughts.

"what do you want Daejah?" she looked at the voice and was face to face with a caramel beauty with green eyes and curly brown hair.

Daejah smiled and she took a strand of serenity's brown hair, twirling it in her fingers. "I was telling you a story about Trinity and you zoned out again." she said, sighing softly. "you've been reserving yourself again.  What's the problem?"

"Nothing." serenity snapped.  "I just get really annoyed listening to you complain about your girlfriend sometimes. If you both have that many problems why don't you guys just break up."

"It's not that simple seren. That's my baby,  but sometimes she really gets on my nerves." Daejah rested her head on serenity's  shoulder and let out a sigh. "but I suppose little serenity wouldn't understand. Her love for boys makes it so she will never understand the complexity of a girly girl love."

"It's not that I don't understand your love.  I just don't understand why you, a senior would try to date a sophomore.  You know they're childish it makes no sense to try and claim someone who has barely any knowledge on the world. You keep saying she acts like a child, but that's what happens when you date a 15 year old." Serenity pulls her water from the side of her bag and takes a sip from it and then she stands up. Just in time for the bell to ring again.

"She is turning 16 next week. She's not that young"

"And you're already 18. Making you an old lady.  You'll find someone better and more your age. Just stop fishing for guppies when the pond is full of big beautiful developed fish." Serenity winked at her before walking out of the class.

"Mom!  I'm home" serenity said as she walked through the doors to her apartment.

"Alright honey, your father should be here soon to pick you up for the weekend so get your things ready, he's taking you to his new house this week. So try to be on your best behavior" her mom said as walked out of the bathroom wrapping her hair into a towel. "your brother is going too.  He's not getting out of going this time."

Serenity let out a sigh, it had only been a year since her parents got a divorce. The fight was nasty and the arrangement led her father to live in a small one bedroom apartment until he saved enough money to buy his own house.  Before this, the custody agreement was that he could only see them for a few hours on Saturday's and then bring them home. Now that he has a house they upped it to a weekend.

This would be serenity's first weekend at her dads house, something that she really was not all that interested about it.  The relationship between them was rocky and all they do is argue but if going there will make her mother happy, then that's all that mattered.

When her father arrived to pick them up, he waited in his car.  It took five minutes for serenity and her brother to actually come out of the house.

"I don't want to go... " her younger brother mumbled under his breath as he walks down the steps adjusting his back pack.

"I know Laydynn, me either." serenity let out a small sigh as she ruffled his brown hair. "it'll be alright though. At least he has a house. Mom said that it had a nice backyard and a patch of woods to explore." she tried to lighten the mood and she opened the car door  for him. He climbed into the back seat and she looked back at her car and she sighed. She hated to leave it behind, after working so hard to get a new one she tried everything she could to make sure that it would stay nice. She got into the car and buckled herself in and the car started to drive. She couldn't help but look out the window the whole time zoning out of the conversation her father so desperately tried to have with the both of them.
