A Day in Life

I opened my eyes as the sun touches my face

Feeling empty, all I can feel is its warm embrace

Roamed my eyes in this room I don't recognize

This anguish feeling, I don't know what I agonize

Took the capsule that would supplement

A glass of water that would fill my heart's intent

A loaf or two as I stared into the void

Why do I need this? I feel like an android

Watching these small people inside the screen

I can shut them off if I want to, just like a queen

Got nowhere to go and nothing else to do

Waiting tirelessly until the day is due
