Prologue

In the beginning, there was one tribe called the Procus Tribe. The tribe was noble, peaceful, brave, and intelligent. It was settled along a vast land with green prairies, rushing rivers, and thickly wooded forests. After many years of ruling, the chief of the Procus Tribe, Aelious, decided the tribe was getting too big for him to handle. He then decided to split the tribe into three more parts, giving a tribe to each of his sons and daughter. Although there were four children, Aelious thought that his youngest son was too immature and young to be a chief of a tribe.

The chief gave his eldest son the Sagax tribe which was to be an intelligent nomadic tribe. This tribe was to travel, explore, and gain intelligence of the land and its species. The next son in line was given the Quies tribe. This tribe was to help keep the peace by making laws that gave equality to everyone. The Fortem tribe was given to his only daughter. This tribe would be the protectors of the other three tribes.

During the time of peace, the Sagax tribe found many quirks and useful possessions about the land. Horses had been there and had helped when there was just the Procus tribe, but the Sagax tribe found a better commodity. The tribe had come across a pack of giant-sized wolves. The sizes ranged to the size of the Icelandic horses or bigger. Taming the wolves took time but once tamed they were excellent workers and companions.

As the youngest son grew older he became bitter and resentful because his father, Chief Aelious did not give him a tribe to rule over. The youngest son, Jiten, one day decided to leave and run into the Vetiti Forest.

The Vetiti forest started as trees few and far between, but once you enter deeper, the trees become closer and the leaves cover the sky, so only some parts of sunlight shine through. The forest clung to the east side of the tribe's territory and it was where the Somnum Exterreri river flowed out of. Jiten, the youngest son, wasn't seen for years and many believed he had died because of the dangers that lurk in the Vetiti Forest. The chief sent out people to search many times for Jiten. Aelious promised that he would reward the person who would find his son. One year a ransom was sent to the chief saying someone had found his son but they wanted more money than the chief was going to give originally.

The chief went to go meet this questionable source at the edge of the Vetiti forest where the trees weren't so thickly grown. He picked his most trusted soldiers, and he picked the best suited and battle-ready wolf to ride.

When Aelious arrived no one appeared to be there. He waited till the sun was touching the land, and staining the sky with oranges and reds. They were just leaving when they heard pads of several feet, hooves, and paws. Aelious whipped his head around to see twenty or more armed men on horses and wolves. The Fortem tribe members raised their weapons ready to protect the chief. The glow of the sun cast long shadows of trees across the grounds and on several of the faces.

The chief finally spoke to the strangers, "Who are you and what have you done with my son?"

A big black masked wolf with big patches of brown and white stepped out of the shadows carrying a well-built man with dreadlocks falling down past his shoulders.

"Don't you recognize me father?" The man said in a raspy voice.

"Jiten my son! Where have you been all this time?" he paused shocked, "no matter, just come home." Aelious pleaded.

"I am not your son anymore, and I don't have any plans to come home. I have plans to rule." Jiten snapped.

"But why? If you come home you'll be able to see your mother and your brothers and sister. We forgive you for running away. Just come back please." The chief cried.
