They say October is the month that demons and spirits are most powerful. Some say they spend the whole year gathering as much energy as they can to cross over into the human world.

Now this isn't meant to scare you. Not all spirits have bad intentions. If you're lucky, you won't even notice any spiritual forces at work. But sometimes they're too powerful, too evil.

Kim Namjoon and his friends are currently wandering through an odd antique shop in London. It's a hole-in-the-wall place that Jimin pointed out. Namjoon looks over at the boy. He's currently transfixed by some pendant. There's a small clear crystal on the end of the long, thin chain. Jimin raises the pendant to the light and smiles when it creates fractals on the floor.

Jimin catches Namjoon looking at him and comes over to stand beside him. "Isn't this pretty, hyung? I think it'll give us good luck on tour, so I want to buy it."

"That pendant will bring you nothing but misfortune..." The sudden, chilling voice makes both boys just about jump out of their skin. Standing behind them is an old man. His back is stooped, his hands gnarled with age. He has a very harsh face, deep lines seem to have been permanently carved into his skin. His features are hard and pointed. His hair is so fine and stringy that his scalp is clearly visible beneath.

The man takes a slow, half-step towards Jimin. Jimin takes a step back, and Namjoon places his arm between the two of them. "That pendant..." The man completely disregards Namjoon and is instead staring directly at Jimin. "You should've never touched it."

At this point, the other boys have gathered around their leader and resident Mochi Boy protectively. Jungkook gently attempts to guide Jimin to the back of the group, but a hard stare from the old man in front of him seems to cause a freezing chill to settle in his chest. His hand falls uselessly to his side.

The strange man gazes into each boy's face, his beady eyes intensely scrutinizing them. He stops at Jimin, staring at him the longest. "That pendant will only destroy... It will begin and end with you."

Jimin gives the man a shaky smile. "Is that right? Maybe I shouldn't take it."

"It's too late!!" The old man's voice takes on a hysterical, shrill tone. "The instant you touched it became your end. Take it and go."

"But—" Namjoon tries to speak, but the old man cuts him a glare that makes him shut his mouth.

"Take it and go." The man grabs Jimin's shirt with his clumsy, twisted fingers and shoves him toward the door. "Get out, get out, get out!!"

The boys hurry out of the store, their eyes wide with shock. "Joon, what should I do?" Jimin eyes the pendant distrustfully.

"Jimin-ah," Namjoon says, shaking his head. "There's no such thing as an unlucky pendant. Halloween is coming up, remember? That man was probably just trying to scare us."
